The Opposition Bistro in Stratford-on-Avon

Booked here for our pre-theatre meal. Excellent service - prompt but not pushy - and high quality food. Mine was the retro style prawn cocktail, generous and tasty, followed by pork tenderloin and slow cooked crispy belly pork. It had the best crackling ever. The vegetables, so often a disappointment in a restaurant, were cooked to perfection, even the cabbage. Very reasonably priced too.

This restaurant more than exceeded our expectations. They managed to fit us in for my birthday meal after the original restaurant we booked had to close due to a gas issue. We couldn't have asked for more, staff were friendly, extremely accommodating and very efficient. Food was amazing and very well presented. We highly recommend a visit here and will definitely be back on our next visit.

This is one of our favourite places in Stratford upon Avon. Our family love this place... Great food, drinks!! It is cosy and comfortable. The menu is interesting, the food is fresh and well proportioned but most of all, the staff are truly amazing! Bravo to chef, Andy! Real credit to the company.

Absolutely fabulous experience. Stroganoff was sublime and lamb shank tasty and fresh. They found us a table at late notice and we felt properly spoilt all evening. Wine list small but mighty fine. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again, recommend you book a table and treat your tastebuds.

Absolutely fabulous pre theatre dinner on new year's day, with excellent service from the staff.All the food was beautiful and great value for money.Interior of the restaurant is cosy and well laid out for the space.Would reccomend and we will definitely return!

We ate at this restaurant for the first time last night. I had the monkfish wrapped in parma ham and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and the had a lovely atmosphere. If I get the opportunity, we shall return.

A wonderful place , great service and lovely food . Thoroughly recommend but need to book as really popular

It was recommended by our bnb host and we really enjoyed the place. We had the mussels and pork fillet & pork belly, the food was really good and came pretty fast.. Mussels were fresh and plump, the pork belly crispy but tender. Waitress was meticulous and despite not making a reservation on a Saturday as we have just arrived in town, they bothered to check the availability and gave us a table in 20 minutes.

My mum and I had a amazing meal , the service was fantastic and my mums gluten intolerance was no issue at all , she actually had too much choice which is a first , the mussels and the scallops were the best we’d ever tasted and the crispy duck was to die for !!
