The food was incredible, honestly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The service was second to none, and the beer is amazing. This is definitely somewhere that you've got to visit if you're in the area.

We visited on the off chance there would be a table last Wednesday and were very warmly welcomed and shown straight to our table. The menu was interesting and my mum opted for her go to favourite ‘ham, egg and chips’. The menu stated 3 eggs but mum has a small appetite and so asked for just one egg. I chose the special ‘Duck in a sweet and sour sauce’. There was a little wait but our dishes arrived piping hot and obviously freshly prepared- both were delicious 🤤We didn’t have room for a dessert but they sounded yummy. When the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find that the ham eggs and chips meal had been discounted for just one egg (without us having to ask). A very enjoyable meal and especially liked how welcoming the landlord was - despite being very busy. We would wholeheartedly recommend!

Well what can I say besides made my evening! Rattler on tap & unfortunately the steak & ale pie had been replaced by steak & kidney pudding for the evening even better. Lovely traditional pub with great staff. Well worth a visit.

Stopped on the way home for a Sunday lunch. The food was excellent, the landlord very helpful and friendly. Glad we just followed the sign, would recommend you do. 👍

A lovely, cozy pub with few tables, we felt very lucky to get in as everything we had was wonderful and delicious. We had the terrine and poutine, and then the pheasant and fish and chips. The food was so good we then got a dessert too. We had a local beer from a north Cotswold brewery that was lovely too and the meal together was very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be coming back.

We met friends for Sunday lunch. It's a small pub but couldn't fault the food for quality, quantity or value. The Canadian couple who own it are really friendly and served us promptly; nothing was too much bother. Two of us had roast pork, two had beef; it was all excellent quality, delicious and tender. Then they were the roasties 😋 We all decided to go back soon to sample the weekday offerings. Brilliant place.

We were in the Cotswolds for a weekend break and had left it too late to book a table for a Saturday evening meal and everywhere we called were already booked. The Plough had good reviews and so were pleased they had a table available. When we arrived we were the only ones there but recieved a pleasant welcome. We chose to order from the Festive Menu and were very pleased with the food. The starters were both well presented, tasty and filling. But best of all was the Roast Turkey main course with all the trimmings. One of the best we've ever had. Real thick slices of tasty turkey, fantastic roast potatoes and the vegetables cooked just perfectly. Even the Yorkshire Pudding was done well. Our only one criticism is that the chef had ground coarse sea salt over the plates and vegetables. Now we like salty food so wasn't a problem for us but could see that some customers may find it to much. Desserts were good and the value for money excellent. By the time we left there were more people in drinking but we were the only diners. Would certainly go back again especially for another roast meal. Thank you.

We had a really tasty and reasonably priced meal here … portions are huge! The veggie main was great. Service good and prompt. 👍🏻

Beautiful pub. Was lovely to spend *Canada Day* with the owners. Great prompt, service. Beautiful food, we both had veggie burgers. Very clean. Thanks for a lovely evening. Five stars ⭐️ Geraldine

Lovely place, perfect for family dining. Best hot chocolate, an ensemble of craft beer choices, and large play area available for the children.
