The Throckmorton in Stratford-on-Avon

Took my mum here for an early mothers day treat in March, excellent service. Fantastic food and real value for money for the amount you get and the quality of the meal. Lovely chilled atmosphere, would definitely recommend. Will be even better in the warmer weather to enjoy some time outside on the decking with a cold drink! The fish Friday £10 offer is definitely worth taking advantage of and you also receive a stamp booklet to save money in the future with food purchased! Thank you! See you soon! 👍

Been here many times. Food usually good but, had breakfast this morning was very poor. Bacon reheated, toast burnt, had to ask for glass of water 4 times before it came. Complained, waitress said would let chef know. No feedback from kitchen. Asked waitress if she'd said anything - she said she had. Poor service. No apology. We're regular customers but will not come here for breakfast again.

What a lovely experience it was dining here today. We arrived earlier than our booking but was warmly welcomed and seated at the bar area. The staff organised a table before our allotted time so that we could be seated. Friendly staff, wonderful service and amazing fresh delicious food. Will definitely be returning. Thank you

Stayed here for two nights, including breakfast. Was greeted by lovely friendly staff and had their set lunchtime meal which was delicious. When our room was ready a member of staff bought our key over and showed us to our room. The room was spacious, well decorated and spotlessly clean, and a HUGE comfortable bed. We throughly enjoyed breakfast both mornings which was piping hot with very attentive service. Only grumble, and not the hotels fault, is they have a rattling manhole cover in the road directly outside the hotel, so from about 05:30 onwards you can here the cover continuously banging as vehicles run over it! and basically makes for disturbed sleep. Might be an idea to contact Warwickshire Council and get them to repair it as I heard several residents mentioning it during breakfast.

Very dissapointing meal on Valentines Day. The main course was not hot & it tasted like it had been cooked previously. Not tasty at all. We have been for meals before & they were always good. Very dissapointing!

Very pleasant welcome. Restaurant looks nice. Room very nice. Had bottle of prosecco in the deal. Looking forward to breakfast and a day in Stratford tomorrow. 20mins easy drive away.

Delicious food and really friendly staff. Had a perfect meal

Extensive reasonably priced menu. The food was piping hot and good quality. Service was a little slow ( another table with more people and similar orders having arrived after my party were served mains 20 minutes before.) When our order was politely chased, the member of staff was surly when responding. Overall a positive experience.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch ... Not terribly busy so you felt rushed or crushed in ... hope as things improve these high standards continue.Food very very nice ... Plenty of meat on the roast dinners and loads of choice for a Sunday menu. Veg wasn't tasteless mush either ... Nicely steamed and presented.20 new English pounds for 3 courses ... A few fair supplements apply.

Called into this venue last night on way back from Evesham.Beautiful place.Staff were friendly and the interior of the place was very nice,but the terrace at the rear was the jewel in the crown. Lovely large seating are with comfy sofas ad tables with a fantastic country view.Very romantic to watch the sunset with a loved one.Drinks were fairly priced. Will definitely be returning to sample the food.Highly recommended.
