The White Horse in Stratford-on-Avon

Lovely visit to Stratford and great hotel location for the centre. All staff were really friendly. Great dinner and big choice of breakfast. I had avocado and poached eggs. Best poached eggs. Very quaint old bar and restaurant with good facilities. Would stay again.

Entrance is lovely and inviting lots of people socialising as it’s the jubilee holiday! Check in done online which was was quick and easy. Reception staff were lovely and greeted both myself and my daughter wonderfully. Even called me before we arrived to ask if twin or double beds were preferred never had this kind of service before loved that! The room is spacious, light and airy with fab air conditioning. Incredibly clean with a lovely sized shower room fully equipped with everything we could need, towels the fluffiest I’ve had in a hotel room! Well stocked tea and coffee making facilities and mini bar if that’s your preference. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again. Will update this review in the morning after breakfast.

A warm friendly welcome by reception on our arrival thank you Sol and colleagues. Our twin room was extremely clean a d we really appreciated the fresh milk in the mini fridge, thank you Dhurata. Excellent choice of cold and hot food at breakfast all cooked fresh. Thank you Debbie and team you are doing a great job! We ate in the hotel on our first evening and again the food was delicious The location is excellent so close to many attractions. We enjoyed our stay some h we have booked to return next year. Cant praise enough. Fantastic location a few minutes walk from Shakespeare birth place. Fab rooms clean, spacious with great shower.Breakfast and evening meals were lush. Good choices and fair prices. Arrived piping hot and the staff are so lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend

Better than some 5* hotels we've stayed in! The staff were fantastic & very accommodating. One of the only places we've stayed where breakfast catered to dairy free and vegetarian without having to special order.Had an issue with the room drainage after first day (not hotels fault) and we were instantly moved and updated on the issue.Location was second to none, but also quiet at night. Bathroom was luxurious. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

What a place! Fantastic hotel experience. Room 104 is just a dream room; I highly recommend it (with secret stairs to the bar area). Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice. Having informed the hotel that it was our anniversary, I was pleasantly surprised at the delightful welcome and how my wife was greeted with some lovely treats on checking in to our room, including a personalised card. The surface car park on Windsor Street is perfect for the hotel and to access reception and actually it's good value; though it shows as £14 per 24 hours, it goes down incrementally for longer periods, so £24 for 48 hours, etc. The hotel is perfectly central for shopping, eating, and anything else. All in all, I would happily stay again. Thank you White Swan!

We have just returned following a 2 night stay to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Everything about this hotel was fantastic from the welcome at reception to the lovely room clean and with everything you need for your stay included. The bar and restaurant are beautiful and full of old world charm and the food is delicious!!! Most of all, every single member of staff were so friendly polite and helpful without ever being intrusive .. thank you alland we can't wait to come and stay again.

I had a very warm welcome as I entered the reception. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The shower pressure was fab. The little touches in the room, such as fresh milk and local biscuits were a lovely surprise. From start to end, the staff could not be more helpful, in the hotel and the restaurants. I would be happy to stay again... or eat at the restaurant. I would suggest booking direct as you can take advantage of a discount. It is perfectly located and you can walk to all of the sites.

2nd time staying here and again was blown away. booked for my partners birthday, rang the lovely lady on the hotel reception, asked if I was able to bring some balloons and banners and them to put it in the room before we checked in. she was so helpful and arranged for all of this to be done. Even arranged a little happy birthday slate platter with biscuits and fruit to be in the room. breakfast was fabulous, room was insane and location is perfect. could not recommend enough, will be staying again!

Wonderful hotel, lovely facilities and good location, spotlessly clean and good overall maintenance. More importantly the level of customer service was second to none. Genuine but non intrusive customer care. They considered everything for us. We needed to change our booking due to my partner having covid symptoms. It was all taken care of beautiful with no stress to us. We brought our baby to the hotel and they helped us with everything we needed. What I also appreciated was how well the team appeared to work together. They appeared to support each other so nicely. It made the whole stay feel so comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family and will be returning again when I get the chance. Well done on great staff.
