Thespians in Stratford-on-Avon

Horrible. Please DONT GO. This place is calorized as an Indian eatery but trust me it doesnt deserve at all.We ordered paneer tikka masala & it was full of FOOD COLOUR & gravy was full sugar. It was like someone cooked the curry in sugar water, nothing else.Another dish we ordered tarka dal & it was completely tasteless, yes no taste at all. Obviously, we cant expect the exact Indian taste but it was not even 10%. Please dont trust the pictures they have published on google. Moreover the waiter pushed us to order the extra food in advance saying we will be busy afterwards. We realized at the end, it was a wastage of the food. I really failed to understand, how far people can go to earn the money.

Went to this restaurant after being highly recommended by a local pub, and it did not disappoint! We were welcomed in and sat down, lots of busy tables and the food smelt incredible. Our drink order was taken and they arrived shortly after. Poppadoms and condiments were fresh and a lovely start to the meal. Best naan bread i have ever had! Both mine and my partners mains were cooked to perfection and so tasty! All of the staff were so kind and friendly, the service was outstanding! Will definitely return to this restaurant when we stay nearby again, Thank you!

Food is o.k not great. The condiments are watery not fresh. It tasted like from a jar!

Visited with my wife for a spontaneous meal out. The food was delicious! I opted for Chicken Zenga because it sounded nice, and I was not disappointed! My wife had a Chicken Bhuna, which she also really enjoyed. Poppadoms, garlic naan and pilau rice rounded off the meal, and all was flavourful and plentiful. Excellent quality, lovely staff, reasonable prices. We will be going back!

Arrived at this restaurant on Monday evening. The service was prompt & the staff were friendly. As for the food it was good but to be honest we have tasted better.

I must admit that we did enjoy our meals, however the reason for the 2 stars are this - first of all we had a price on our bill for 'drinks' we asked the waiter to explain. He confirmed it was £1.50 each for hot water that a couple of our party had ordered!!! When we expressed how disappointed we were that we were charged for water, he was dismissive and said something about having to boil the water!! Secondly, im not sure how they have achieved a 4 star hygiene rating. No staff were wearing masks, and we witnessed them handling the popadums with their hands without sanitising and wiping the serving plate with used napkins. Again we brought this to their attention and they offered no explanation or apology for it. Needless to say we would not return or recommend the place.

Thespians is one of our favourite restaurants in Stratford. The food is always wonderful and the staff are kind and friendly. We have had many evening meals there over the years and look forward to many more. Definitely recommended!

Best curry house in Stratford! And I've tried them all. Been going to the restaurant, and getting takeaways off them, for years and years. The staff are great and always make people feel really welcome. Can't recommend Thespians more.

Been to thespians tonight had heavley prawns OMG best meal I have had in a restaurant for a very long time.

Very good food, definitely recommend. Service a little slow, overall an enjoyable meal.
