Good roadside cafe with a good choice of meals, all reasonably priced. Food came nice and hot too. Toilets nice and clean.

we was there today and the old guy was moaning he filled up 2 coffees with 2 mugs off another table without washing them he then couldn’t take the orders correctly blaming everyone else he huffed and puffed and then said we was all idiots for asking for 7 different meals cause it was wasting time the food we got was all wrong the teas were disgusting and the coffee was terrible i wouldn’t recommend this place to a bunch of hyenas the worst place i’ve visited and the woman at the end come over and said that we smile too much was something out of falwty towers we have a weekly visit there spending £40 - £50 a week with 6 or 7 of us but still okay was final straw we also found hairs in the coffee 🤮

Friendly greeting from the lady, not so the old guy.He started to pour my cup of tea only for the pot to only half fill the cup, he then put hot water in the teapot and immediately filled my cup up with basically hot water. Asked for it stronger and he just grunted and threw a teabag in the cup.As for the breakfast everything was precooked, dry bacon, cheap nasty sausages, greasy hash brown and black pudding, even the toast was cold.I would rather you put your prices up and use better quality ingredients, than you do now. I would also like my food freshly cooked, not stood there for goodness knows how long. Oh and 80p extra for 1 thin piece of barely cooked and greasy black pudding is taking the Michael especially as I didn't have beans. The old guy obviously told the lady that I complained about the watery tea, as when I said goodbye she never spoke, instead she just glared at me.Would I visit again, not very likely whatsoever

Cyclists avoid. The owner clearly had an issue with cyclists, and we were shouted at in a manic rude and deranged manner when we arrived. She accused us of damaging her pots and plants (we hadn't).Quite bizzare - I shall never visit again, and I suggest any cyclists go elsewhere.

I haven't been here since coming over here with the road cycling club year's ago. It's back to the days when the sisters used to own the place. Fair play to the staff for looking after their health and providing good, all round food to everyone. Clean, tidy, very welcoming. Been a pleasure coming here again.
