Dining in restaurant. Food, fantastic, taste and presentation wise. Restaurant experience? Shoddy. I'm really not one to write such reviews but just to help anyone else considering the place....***1st time ever going into a restaurant to eat Indian food as opposed to takeaways. The pilau rice (as a side) here is the white, purple and green kind. Not the yellow one typically seen. Which tasted fine, but aesthetics compared to the yellow rice is lost here. Coconut rice was advertised as a side but very much felt like a dessert; very sugary. Otherwise test of food was exquisite. 1of 3 Naan breads served charred.2 hour wait to be served main meal. We were ready to walk out 40 mins into this wait, not because of the lack of action but for the following details.Orders were incorrect in the dishes served but correct on receipt. Didn't realise wrong dish was served until half way through. But after being told that our deduction of the "lemonade" actually being sparkling water , we were informed it may have been a "different kind of lemonade you're used to". 5 of us had sipped this one drink to confirm. The table went quiet on both occasions when we complained.Apropos receipt, handwritten and incorrectly calculated ie off by £5.But I had been put off by creating a fuss as so many things had gone wrong the moment I stepped in.Atmosphere was fine. Decor picked well. However, air conditioner was set to hot despite restaurant being warm already ( some customers were visibly sweating, and not because of the food-- no one in the place had been served in the 1-2 hours we were there, so it was not due to spicy dishes)It was just a shame. A really poor experience. Don't go in a group larger than 4. Even as we left, could hear complaints that the bar had prepped a drink using vodka instead of Malibu rum.Special shout-out to the lady who seemed like she was done with life and giving two cruds about customer satisfaction. We were the first to arrive. I do not understand why our presence seemed to kill any joy you had , as we were not raucous at all. It may be worth leaving the job.I'm just really confused by the whole thing. It was a long night and we'd already forced our selves to complain about basic things. On reflection, if it wasn't a celebratory occasion, for which many had to travel far in for , we would have and should have just walked out.

After going to this place for years I decided to take a friend, never again after the service we experienced. We placed our order at 730, poppadoms arrived at 8 (that’s with us having to remind them) then proceeded to wait another hour for a starter that didn’t arrive only for the chef to come out with our mains, at this point we were already ready to leave and explained this to the chef what had happened, no apology made. We told them we would just eat our mains and asked for the bill, this arrived and they tried to charge for starters which took abit of whispering back and forth to sort out. Eventually we paid and left. The whole time we was there, the manager just chose to look at us and not even come over and apologise for the awful service we had experienced. I’m sorry but I will not be going back to this place as it seems they are more interested in sorting Uber eats etc rather than their front of house customers.

Ordered a takeaway from here through Just Eat. Firstly, the food arrived 40 to 50 minutes late. Requested a refund from the restaurant but haven't received anything yet. Food itself was pretty shocking. The paneer shaslik was bland and looked like it had nothing on it at all. Also ordered the chicken shaslik which, whilst still not great, actually had some level of seasoning on it. Neither of these had any mint sauce with them so were very dry. The Veg Curry was lacking, as was the Veg Noboraton. The Apna Style Special was marginally better but needed more of everything... Not so special after all. The naan was also burnt. Rather disappointed with this place as after waiting 2 hours from ordering, I was expecting it to be at least reasonable. As an Indian person, definitely avoid this place if you want good quality, flavourful indian food.

Lovely food, slightly stuffy air inside the place though. Interesting experience paying; waiter just picked up my card and did a contactless payment for the meal, then gave my card and receipt to my wife. Not very nice! It should be my choice about how to pay and I should be able to check the amount, and random assumption as to who was paying.

Having lived in Bradford, Yorks for over 50 years, I thought most Bradford restaurant curries were the ‘gold standard.’ They are generally very good but the Delhi Divan is another level up. It is absolutely outstanding. I cannot recommend it highly enough. You will not be disappointed.
