Delicious food, excellent variety on the menu and very accommodating in a cosy and comfortable restaurant. Food arrived quickly and the portions were generous. We would definitely visit again. Thank you

Another fabulous 2 course meal at Portobello. Been visiting this restaurant for a number of years and the quality of the food is second to none. Great choice of starters and mains and any pasta or pizza for £7 on a Sunday, what a bargain. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who are happy to provide details of dishes and to tweak meals to suit individual tastes. We’ll be back!

Absolutely fantastic. Excellent service and food. Price was very good too. They even gave us a jump start when our battery had died. Waitress was top noch too. We will be back very soon. Thankyou for a very pleasant evening xx

The food was excellent but the decor let it down slightly. I would highly recommend the food and the staff were welcoming and professional. However the decor was dated/a bit run down and didn’t match the quality and presentation of the food.

We had a starter each for me and my girlfriend, as well as a main course. The starters were amazing, fresh bread and perfectly cooked cannelloni. The mains came out not too rushed to allow for time to relax, the pasta we each had was beautiful, and the pizza we had between us redefined how good meatballs can be. Desserts were equally delicious, the waffle is amazing. Overall, this is one of the best restaurants in Tamworth and has amazing service as well provided by Katie on this occasion. I highly recommend it.

I ordered a linguine marinara. Presentation, good. Flavours, aweful, no woeful!The sea food was chewy, over cooked. Arrived with a scent that it was starting to smell, old ingredients. The sauce, bland, rushed and not cooked down to improve flavour.I've had two meals in Tamworth Thursday and Friday both were not worth plating.Sorry Portobello, you are well below the standard of any Italian restaurant I have visited.

Fantastic family Italian restaurant, clearly very popular. Wide range of choice, something for everyone. Great service from all the staff and the chef really knows what he's doing, the steak was one of the best we've had in Europe.

Fantastic family Italian restaurant. Clearly very popular. Huge choice of food, something for everyone and it looked and tasted stunning. The chefs really know how to cook and all the staff knew what they were doing, great atmosphere. Recommend the steaks, it was one of the best we've had in Europe. Will be back again soon.

I doubted family run Traditional Italian Restaurants after experiencing so so quality food and samey options delivered by overly passionate staff. Portobello Restaurant has put my faith back in the Italian culinary experience.On entering I was met by grounded, accommodating staff that ensured I was happy with the choice of table. Staff were smiley, chatty and assisted joyfully with the menu options. I opted for some nibbles and their excellently priced 2 courses for £19.95.The atmosphere in Portobello Restaurant is relaxed, sociable and family oriented. The minimalist artistic interior beams with natural light. Dishes were superbly presented, quality was evidently high.The jelly babies and hand written “thank you” on the bill echoed the care they provide to their customers.A wonderful experience.
