The Albert in Tamworth

Went for our 44th wedding anniversary meal .starter was king prawns .for the main had the barbecue ribs .not just the usual 1 rack but was surprised to see two large rack of ribs with chips.for sweet I had creme brulee.i was very pleased with all of it .Well presented and a very nicely decorated restaurant. Would recommend a visit.slightly more pricey than run of the mill pubs .but all in all you get what you pay for.very pleased.

Fabulous Sunday lunch consumed. Highly recommend the lamb and beef.The portions are huge.

Absolutely wonderful evening after I had been to a show with friends. It was our first time to The Albert Bar/restaurant. Loved the layout inside, wonderful food and drinks and a lovely friendly team and nice type of people dining. We are definitely returning. I would certainly recommend.

Absolutely superb..I ordered gluten free mushroom Risotto it was fabulous. Will definitely go again

Once again proving it to be our 'go to' restaurant in Tamworth. Our last visit, as a birthday treat from my wife, was late afternoon in the week and we had the place to ourselves after a while. Got to chat with the waitress and her charming 3 year old daughter Alicia who sang Happy Birthday for me. Next visit in two days for my sister's 60th. Looking forward to it.

Food is nice. With a good menu. Nice enviroment and friendly staff.Only reason i am not giving it 5* is because the waitress didn't come to take our order for desert and cocktails.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Waited a little longer than would have liked, however when the food was served it was presentable and delicious! I couldn't manage all of my half rotisserie chicken and chips so requested a doggy bag, which staff were happy to provide. Will 100% be visiting again 👌🏼

A disappointing visit after quite a few recommendations. Some of the food may be good but what I received was not. I had the pork belly roast dinner which looked liked it had been sliced and put back in the oven for an extra hour, burnt to a crisp (photo attached). Veg was all overcooked and the gravy was very watery. Best item on the plate was the Yorkshire pudding which was the only good thing on there. My Wife's Roast Beef dinner was passable, but there are plenty of restaurants in the area which serve better food. Was not asked if we wanted to try the wine before it was poured and then the server put the bottle cap back on the bottle?!? Service was lacking, had to virtually wave people down as they all have their heads down with the avoidance tactic down to a tee. To top it off, we were charged for 3 covers instead of 2. They only realised their mistake when I queried it.

Good ambiance and amazing food. Kids friendly restaurant. Highly recommended.
