The Forest Restaurant in Tamworth

Great small café, the interior is rather unique with its theming and it has plenty of seating as well as more private booth style alcoves. There is a wide menu, lots of options and served on nice plates and crockery too. Breakfast is very good, especially for a small group in the alcoves.

Came for afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. It was all beautiful, the staff were brilliant and accommodating with our little extra requests, needing extra space due to sleeping baby, asking for a mimosa instead of Prosecco, bringing honey for the tea. They were all lovely and friendly. And I would commit murder for another of those chocolate brownies. Can't wait to come back

Lovely setting & staff were lovely.Had a bacon sarnie was expensive for what it was average, I have had much better and cheaper. Meals coming out at lunchtime did look a lot better; however, prices were on the high side, but then again, they usually are.As Garden Centre restaurants, I suppose on par with most, however, for me, Planters beats it when weather nice & if you have children as the outside terrace on a nice day cannot be beaten.

Fab food well worth every penny good fresh. Staff helpful and very friendly and quick, all seem really happy. The restaurant is quaint and differently decorated to most garden restaurants and dog and child friendly. Would and have recommended to many. Keep up the great work.

My daughter and myself were left standing in the entrance while staff walked past, finally we were seated and just left there. No one came to take a drinks or food order and finally after 20 minutes we go up and left.Definitely do not recommend and definitely will never go back.Food didn't look great either.Steve Ross

Went for a catch up with a friend , expecting the usual good service nice food and relaxed surroundings, unfortunately that isn't what we got! Firstly the Victoria sponge was rock hard, when I finally got to speak to someone they took it off but after waiting about another 10 minutes I asked if I was getting a replacement, the waiter then seemed surprised I hadn't got it yet , despite him circling around our table pretending he was busy but not doing anything in particular, the restaurant was almost empty at this point. It was a lovely slice of cake when I finally got it! However it sounded like a zumba class was taking place in the garden center with thumping music blaring in the background, there was banging, loud voices in the kitchen which sounded like a youth club, I'm all for staff enjoying their work but it was so roudy and just not what was expected. No apology was made about the cake and we left feeling a little confused as this hasn't been our past experience here.

We have visited on many occasions, but today was a special one - we Spoke to Cody via email and true to her word she made everything happen for us - the service was impeccable and the food all I can say is wow (it is always to a high standard, that of what you would expect from a high class restaurant). Very unique restaurant. Stumbled across it accidentally whilst visiting the garden centre. Extremely busy and the very helpful waitress sorted us out a table within 10 minutes, despite being full.Will be returning and recommending!

Highly recommended. Food lovely. Staff very friendly. Will definitely be back! Hopefully see Eton Mess back on your menu next time! 🙏🙏

Service was very friendly, seated right away and had clean high chair for our baby. Would have been 5 stars however there were little mistakes like forgetting to give us a children's menu (we used the website instead), serving and placing down the tray with hot drinks within arms lenght of the baby and forgetting to bring a spoon out with soup. Only minor mistakes and will not stop us from coming again. Food was very tasty and a good price.
