Had a meal and a couple of drinks, very nice. Was served by Marcus who was very friendly and helpful. Will visit again

Very friendly pub, Marcus keeps the beer on top form. Food is reasonably priced and of a high standard. I am a regular customer with The Phoenix being my first choice pub in Tamworth. Would highly recommend.

I've visited The Phoenix on multiple occasions with both friends and family. The food is really good quality and the service has always been amazing (especially Lee). If you're looking for somewhere to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner I would 100% recommend.

Proper Home-Run this was!!! Honestly....went in for a pint or two just randomly whilst catching some pokemon (yeah, i know - super "grown-up" hobby), and then the huuuunger hit. We decided to try the english breakfast and i must say - probably the best full breaky I've ever had in my 12 years in the uk.... I mean daaaaaamn - talk about a surprise. The atmosphere's great, the staff were lovely (hot blonde and red-head waitresses are always a plus), top notch food and very tidy (Not your usual run of the mill sticky tables). Definitely will be coming back.

Not a great experience. Visited with a friend & children aged 5 & 2. We each ordered a main & the kids meals were due an ice cream to follow. Had to wait quite a while for main, then even after we had finished, no sign of the ice creams. We then went to order adult dessert & pointed out that had already ordered kids desserts, waitress (Georgia?) said that would let the kitchen know straight away. After about 20minutes, still no sign of anything, went & asked how long & was told would be straight out, another 15mins later we had to leave or risk getting a parking ticket. As putting coats on, girl brought them over, told her that we had to leave, she just walked off, no apology or offer of refund.Food that we had was fine, nothing special & nothing that would make us visit again!

One of the worst experiences eating out in a long time.Not sure why this place is selling food, definitely not targeting diners.Loud and rowdy like a loud night time back street bar.Buy when you are hungry you just get on with it.Not sure the venue can do a lot about that, but what they are in control of is customer service and food.We had a dirty glass with lipstick on it, in fairness these things happen and it was resolved.Then after a long wait my partners food was completely wrong.....we sent it back to be changed ...then my burger and chips come out....it looked like something from a school canteen , with tiny shrivelled over cooked burgers and cheap bun....you can get far superior good for less in the town...anyway...again I was hungry so went to eat it.....the burger with no sauce or extras and just cheese was covered in gherkins and sauce.....with all these issues I was not willing to wait for more as this was too many mistakes....the bar lady had attitude and no interest in gving me a refund...manager met we with equal scorn and argued it was a mistake....3 mistakes in fact...i have no interest in arguing ....I wanted an apology and a refund...which I finally got...but no apology.....I will be posting this on TripAdvisor, Facebook, Google, twitter and anywhere else in the hope your managers and owners and potential customers can prevent this happening again.
