Good food, nice atmosphere and reasonable price what's to dislike? Staff warm and friendly

Had a steak meal, all was lovely except the onion (I'm guessing onion gravy) unfortunately on the particular I went was not good. I'm sure they could make it better.

They have a new menu been tonight 5/4/22 had the new belly pork was banging and the wife had the curry platter she loved it Definitely a huge improvement in the new menu

Went to try out the new menu and we had a 50% off main meals voucher to use. The new menu looks great, with loads of old favourites but lots of new choices too! I opted for the chicken platter which was lovely! Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a nice atmosphere too. They have recently gone back to ordering at the bar, but I did prefer the table service that they previously had. You can order from the app but we wanted to swap a couple of things on a meal so was easier to go up. Overall, a good experience and would eat here again!

My party had a table for 8.All of the Staff we interacted with coped & managed with ease.Even at peak dinner time, with max capacity clientele.Staff acted professionally & displayed a genuine enjoymentof working there. Whilst making it all look effortlessin a cheerful & outstandingly attentive demeanor.All of my parties Food was exceptional.Drinks flowed smoothly, a magical time was had by all.

I come here quite often and I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience!! The reviews people leave do not reflect this business what’s so ever. They have a new menu which is top notch and a new manager that has a lot of pride. Please don’t let the history of this pub put you off!!!

Had a nice meal on Saturday from 5pm it’s was very busy! Great staff and very good value. My only gripe is that there is no clear queuing system at the bar. I’m not the only one to say this, one member of staff did acknowledge some signage would help…if this doesn’t happen I predict a possible riot!

It’s well presented pub, clearly popular with the locals. The staff are polite and friendly. They have a wide variety of food choices on the menu. As a suggestion for future improvements I think the place would benefit from opening earlier than the usual time of 11:00 and putting breakfasts on the menu. It would make an idea business meeting place for a breakfast meeting but that is not an option currently.

It's not bad food, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. Would go again

My daughter and I decided to eat on the spur of the moment, we ordered the surf and turf and steak and mac and cheese, both dishes were served piping hot and were absolutely delicious, the waiting staff were polite and very knowledgeable about the menu, we will definitely be returning. Good value for money
