Bridge Builder in Telford and Wrekin

Had to wait to be seated - staff walked past & ignored you. Ended up looking at the lost myself to find my name & table no. Was told food would be 1hr+ (however came within 15mins) but other families left because of the delay. Ordered 2 New Yorkers, 2 chicken breasts were tiny & very dry, no grilled tomato but wasn't advised of this at ordering or when placed on table. French fries were cold, onion rings were very pale & soft(only ate a tiny bit as it didn't taste cooked). Decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Seemed as though a leak had previously been on the wall as some wallpaper missing, some peeling & water marks on wall, so didn't feel as though it was the cleanest. Would I recommend??? No!!!

The place's deco is starting to look a little worn out but don't let that put you off.The staff are very welcoming and we didn't need to wait long for our salads. I had a steak salad, it was cooked as I asked and the portions were just right size for a bit of lunch.Perfect place to have a bite to eat when out and about.

The seating needs to be changed as most of the seats are ripped and very dirty.Tables were very sticky but appeared to be clean.We ordered on the app and our drinks arrived in a short time while we waited for our food a member of staff was talking very loud to other staff about another member of staff having covid and he was complaining he has to come all the way in to open up then go home. (Not really nice to hear while your out to eat)Food arrived swimming in barbecue sauce had to scrape the source of it to eat it couldnt taste the meal due to the sauce. Meal size was good for the money on the offer of 2 meals for £10.

Pub in itself was very nice, our meals were lovely and the staff were friendly. Normally I would give 5*. But when ordering online I made the mistake in thinking that the Wrekin pub would be at the Wrekin retail park, so had ordered to the wrong pub. 3wks later and I still haven't had my refund!!

Nice cheap pub grub, great for the kids as there's a wacky warehouse. Took a long time for our food to come out as there was a huge party in the wacky Warehouse but the pub was fairly empty, although the food was worth the wait and was hit when it came out.

One of my favourite places to eat. Have been way more times than I can remember and very rarely have an issue. Friendly, helpful staff

Had a lovely meal for my mum's birthday. Food arrived quickly and everything was cooked nicely (party of 6) Staff were friendly and attentive and Ashley the manager made sure we has everything we needed.

Honestly I've avoided this pub for 3 years now as the food was always rubbish as this was down to not having a good chef. So bit the bullet and returned and I had a breakfast and dam it was really good and the staff were very good and friendly. I was very surprised. Not had a main meal so can't review but the breakfast wast brilliant.

Have eaten here a few times since moving to the area, been in today and have to say I was very disappointed with our meals. We ordered the 2 x fish and chips which we have had a few times before however when it came today the fish was very overcooked to the extent that the batter was burnt

I enjoy coming here. It is what I like to call cheap and cheerful! We are always greeted and seated within a few mins of arrival. The decor is inviting, maybe a bit outdated in areas but nothing major. The staff always seem to be happy and helpful too.I have been on a quiz night, I didn't join in as my cat had gone missing at the time & because I was worried, I didn't feel like staying too long. But the quiz did sound fun and we are going to go back and join in!The app allows you to order from your table, which is great of ease. The one thing that stops it from being the perfect app, is that there is no comments for the kitchen. So you can't make notes like if you are allergic, or for a substitution, or something like that. So that would be a nice touch on the app.My only somewhat negative is there isn't a great variation of veggie food. Now I know this is a case with many places and I get that - it's not really a complaint but a little more variation would be nice. There is a lot of halloumi dishes. I love halloumi but I find that the dishes only seem to have battered and it ends up tasting really salty.But otherwise, I do like to come along and I will join in the quiz next time! :)
