cuckoo oak in Telford and Wrekin

Came in today with a work colleague and ordered a few drinks, bar staff were great, Lisa in particular was excellent, brilliant environment and ended up staying longer than I intended as the banter from staff was brill, ps the pics are my own bosses son having a great night

Food excellent, staff friendly, lovely atmosphere

Other than polite staff this place is iN need of some serious diy! Chairs falling apart throughout the restaurant and paint work falling off. Dirty menus and high chair. Food was little to be desired. After ten minutes there we were greeted with excessive faul language coming from a staff member who walked out mid shift. Manager offered no apologies and other staff were giggling about it! Felt very sorry for the manager tho as it was clear this caused the service to decline with them now being short staffed. 17/4/2022

We visited late on a Sunday night and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious, I had the Smothered steak sizzler and my partner had the mixed grill. Both were hot and tasty. For dessert we both had the sticky toffee and bourbon pudding with custard. It was literally amazing. Kudos to Steve for being a excellent server. Will definitely return next time.

Great pub. Food was so nice. Couldn’t pick a fault with anything, staff were lovely and helpful. Specially the one with the blond hair. Will be going again. 😄

Wow, I was blown away on how good this place was, the last time I was here, it was a bit of a state but since they’ve refit the whole pub it’s won me over. Service was fast and friendly with good food and a clean environment. It was perfect for a quick business lunch and will revisit!

Great pub with a great atmosphere staff always go out their way to cater to us and the new Sunday dinners are amazing see you all soon

Incredibly slow service - we waited an hour & a half for our meals! My sauce was missing & when brought, the waitress dropped it all over the table. I had nearly finished my meal by the time the replacement arrived. It was our little boy's birthday & we were so disappointed that we didn't even bother with desert. We shan't be going there again!

We didn't have a wait long before food was in front of us, it was well cooked and pipping hot. Only disappointing thing was the item we initially wanted to order was taken off the menu due to lack of stock. But overall excellent service, waiting times and quality.

. Food gone downhill in the last few months. Once they forgot my order, by time re ordered, it took my meal almost 2hrs to arrive did not have time to eat it. Next time I went I was served the wrong meal, which was put right. But last wk I asked for all day breakfast which I have regular. Last time at 7pm. Only to be told the all day breakfast was not all day. But if I wanted breakfast it wud have to be the extra large one which twice the price. I pointed out it says all day breakfast and I had it regular. The girl on till still insisted the all day breakfast was only on until 11 amMyself and family will nolonger be using the cuckoo oak for food. There seem to be an awful lot of young staff running round but not actually doing much. I nolonger rate this place despite all previous good reviews. 3 bad trips is enuf.
