D'arcys at the station in Telford and Wrekin

I’m really sad to have to leave this review at one star, my wife booked me a birthday meal here as a treat for last night, we arrived and were shown to a lovely table by very friendly and attentive staff.. I ordered baked mushrooms for starters and lamb koftas for main. The starter arrived and we tucked in.. both commenting on the rich and slightly strange taste from the pate which topped the mushrooms. Finished the starter, main arrived, nicely presented and tasted ok, even if slightly dry with an odd mix of pasta and fried potatoes?? I returned home, went to bed and was awoken an hour or so later with stomach pains, vomiting and diarrhoea, which have lasted up to this point ( 10am the following morning). It’s been a truly horrendous experience, which I know has come from Darcys as the only other thing I had to eat yesterday was a few slices of toast. At one stage during the night my wife considered calling an ambulance. Not good enough in this day and age, and sadly the only point I will ever return to this restaurant is when they open again next Wednesday to request a refund. It’s such a shame because it’s a lovely venue with really friendly staff.

Always a winner for us. Superb food in a French bistro style restaurant. Top class friendly staff and great boss. Great for a special occasion too. Thank you Darcys!

We arrived in Ironbridge on a Tuesday, unaware that many locations are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. We had seen Darcys menu online and thought it looked better than the standard but expensive pub grub on offer elsewhere. When it opened on Wednesday we just turned up at Darcys and were made very welcome by Jim. We both had Moroccan Chicken which was delicious with generous portions. The Beef Koftas also looked good so we came back the next night and enjoyed that too.Because everything is cooked to order you need to plan for an unhurried evening - no hardship in the cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

Best meal we have had during our weeks stay in Ironbridge. Lovely food and really good service . Also a great bottle of wine .

Had a great evening at Darcys. Booked a table for 4 in advance. Excellent food, attentive staff and a great atmosphere.

First time I had been there. It was cold just sitting at the table. Food was OK. I had the beef kofta kebabs tasty but very dry. Also there was tagliatelle served with it which was also very dry and did not compliment the meal in any way. Would probably give it another go but not sure when.

Had a beautiful meal for my partners birthday,he was disappointed at first as he always has the lamb cutlets, and they weren't on the menu but had beef this time and hasn't stopped talking about it,he thoroughly enjoyed it.Thankyou Jim and Jane.

We want to thank Darcys for another wonderful evening as always. We would recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant to anyone who is planning a trip into Ironbridge. There is always a very warm welcome from the polite and friendly staff and the food is superb. In addition, no other venue has made us feel more at ease during the Covid pandemic than Darcys. They have gone above and beyond to make us feel safe whilst maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. We can't praise them enough.We would like to wish everyone at Darcys a very merry Christmas and a very happy and prosperous New Year.We look forward to seeing you in 2022.

Really nice restaurant occupying the old station across the iron bridge at Ironbridge. Very good food at a reasonable price. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Popular. Booking ahead generally wise. Check days and times open. Recommended

Our first visit and this restaurant is fabulous, initially left a message for a booking, they contacted me to confirm (a nice personal touch). Parking easy, just across the road, perfect location next to the Ironbridge. Staff are very polite and professional, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.We were celebrating our daughters birthday and everything went well, they allow personal cakes to be brought in and the other guests all joined in with the birthday wishes.The food is extremely nice, some shared starters that were very tasty, they did run out of the lamb dish, but my other choice Moroccan Chicken was amazing and was not an issue at all, my family all enjoyed their food, finishing with a great desert selection. Drinks are good prices.Overall, the staff made the experience as they were all so nice, with top quality food, I suggest you book and try it out, I am sure you will have a lovely, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening. We will definitely be going back.
