Half Moon in Telford and Wrekin

It's in a great location, very picturesque. Rather disappointed that food couldn't be served outside. You could only order food if you had booked an inside table which I hadnt done. Plenty of seating outside but was advised I couldn't order food as I hadn't booked a table

We booked for a night to visit Iron Bridge on our way back from a trip to North Wales, unlike some other locations, the car park was easily accessible.We were pleased with the lovely remote location next to the river and even more pleased that Iron Bridge could be reached by a pleasant walk via a wooded footpath (about 1 mile).The rooms were clean, tidy and well appointed.The staff were very attentive, and the food was great.We would definitely recommend them if you are looking for good restaurant and accommodation when visiting Iron Bridge.

Food was very nice, good portion sizes too. The only downside was finding out the Sunday roast was seasonal. Nice atmosphere and staff were very pleasant, will be going again

We had a family meal for 14 to celebrate my wifes birthday. We all enjoyed the great food served by friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again.

Had an absolute blast here for the weekend! What a lovely spot by the river too. The staff were friendly, the service was great and the food was delicious! I'm already planning when I can go back. There's lots to explore around Ironbridge and the neighbouring villages.Highly recommended 👌 👍

I literally have no words...A work colleague recommended the Half Moon for their pizza and I wasn't disappointed. It was beautiful.The staff were very attentive and brought us a box to take the leftover pizza home (of which there was lots! Would advise to share!)I will be back for a second attempt😘

Don't trust the opening hours. Looked at their website to check they were open for lunch, made a trip and they were closed. Seriously, what's the point of having a website if you can't even have accurate hours?Edit: Baffling response from the owner. They list Sunday opening times. They say direct quote that they serve food "12pm - 9pm every Sunday". They admit that are closed yet say the opening times are also correct. It can't be both. Baffling.

What a hidden gem! The main dishes were very good. The pork belly was juicy and the beef bourguignon was just divine! The reason I gave a 4-star rating was that the dessert was a disappointment. We ordered a sticky toffee pudding to share but the toffee sauce was hard when it was served to our table. We couldn't enjoy the toffee sauce. We mentioned it to the waitress but she didn't seem to take the customer's feedback seriously. We even waited for a while, hoping to get a better answer when she came out from the kitchen.
