Hong Kong City in Telford and Wrekin

One of the worst Chinese ive had... it was a quick delivery and no wonder why...chips were barley cooked, chicken balls were still pink and the chow mein was spicy when I asked for mild. Never again

Absolute joke. Food arrived 3 hours after we ordered despite a “35 min estimate”. On calling, receptionist was polite but told us the manager refused to come to the phone. She asked the delivery driver to come to us first but the manager over saw that and asked him to go to a different drop off 20 mins away first! She also asked him to refund some money but he refused. We had children who didn’t get their dinner until 9:20pm. We ordered at 6:30! This guy needs a different job as customer service is obviously not his priority. It was like something off Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares. Shame, as the food was good

I ordered a sweet and sour chicken not in batter to be told that even the chicken not in batter is "lightly battered", when I made it clear I would need to leave it because my daughter cannot eat egg due to allergy they said they can do it without any batter. I also ordered one egg fried rice for myself and one BOILED RICE for my daughter that is allergic to egg as I had just explained to them. They sent two egg fried rice, leaving my daughter with nothing to eat despite knowing she is allergic. When I phoned to complain noone would answer the phone. The food was all terrible on top of this. I ordered direct to get it cheaper than using JustEat but I wish I had used JustEat and demanded a refund.

Ordered chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken with chips and BBQ sauce.Verdict, chicken chow mein very dry, noodles very rubbery not sure what the sauce is that they use to cook and mix the noodles and chicken but it was none existent, no flavour. Poor to be honest.Chips, deadest chips I've every come across, surely the chef must think these need throwing in the bin and make some new 1s up fresh. It's like they was from yesterday and he put them in the microwave and sent them out. Poor.Sweet sour chicken was actually ok that's why I gave a 2 star. Also no chop sticks in bag, like dirr, it's a Chinese.

After asking and complaining about the state of our food. We offered them the opportunity not to give a bad review and to put the situation right. We were told this is the regular chef and they were not prepared to do anything about it. Hence we will not be using them again. The food was stuck together.

Their food was Superb I did really enjoyed it my second time ordering it I didn't had any problem, very hot and great taste as well, great job👍SP Friedrice with pork ribs was very yummy 😋😋

I am not one for moaning. However, I could not go on living knowing that people would spend their hard earned cash here. Not only was my food cold and sloppy, I found a hair in my food. If this wasn’t terrible enough, I called the restaurant to inform them and they told me I was lying. They wouldn’t refund my money. I had complained to Just Eat and they kindly gave my money back to me 2 months later. I can honestly say I have never had to call a restaurant, however I had to in this case. I feel so embarrassed for Hong Kong City and do hope they close or get taken over by clean decent new owners. Thank you for reading.

Well I haven't been home for three years and was looking forward to having this Chinese with my family. Yeah, it's not the same anymore. Ribs very tough, flavours just not there not how they use to be highlight the battered balls but let down sweet not sour sauce. Nothing else stood out at all.Prawn crackers missed from the order and waited over 40 minutes longer than was predicted. Plus 5 quid for late delivery when we live not far that's a bit steep. Sorry but last time I will order from this place.1 star for the battered chicken balls

Awesome special fried rice and a nice smile from the young lady behind the counter. In fact I have not had a bad dish from here. All food is cooked fresh and you can change the ingredients if needed.

Would give 0/5 stars if I could.Very very disappointed.We have been ordering from here for over 10 years now through two different addresses and tonight they have lost us.My sister phoned up at about 7:30 and halfway through making our order the woman put her on hold to answer another phone, put that customer on hold and then come back to her, which on its own is very poor customer service and in doing so she did not hear some of our order.Our order came to about £30 and we waited about 30-40 mins for it to arrive.Upon arrival we realised we were missing 2 out of 3 of our rice's so we called back and they never put it through to our original order and so we had to order some more; an extra £5.We then got a call back a few minutes later saying that it will be a bit if a wait and my mom was saying it was fine, which it was.A few minutes after that we got a SECOND call back and she was saying how they're stopping taking delivery orders, which is absolute BS because we have ordered later than this on a Sunday before and so my mom got into a bit of an argument on the phone and the woman on the phone was being very hostile and not at all professional or apologetic.We have had another incident a few years ago where we ordered chicken chow mein but the meat was dark so we tried it and it was duck and the chef was completely adamant it was chicken when it was not, we have had that meal so much and not once it was dark meat.Instead of trying resolve the situation by sending out the 2 rice's they have lost out on at least 1 order per week from us going back to 2011! Especially during Covid you would have thought they would want the business.Very poor customer service by the chefs and using their staff to pass on messages instead of sorting out the problem by themselves.
