One of the friendliest pubs I’ve been in! I was staying nearby and not from the area but the welcome we got from the staff and owners made us feel like locals! The cider was great, there’s a pool table and music box and everyone is chatty and friendly. Definitely pop in for a few drinks, I’m sure you’ll be given the same fantastic welcome. Thanks a lot! Just popped in to this place the other night as working nearby, to see what the foods like? Pure gold! Roy and his wife are charming hosts make you feel at home. Within half an hour I felt like a regular! The food is superb! I had a 15 ounce burger, they asked if I was hungry? Yes I was and this burger hit the spot. home made, huge, with a proper salad with dressing, and the chips cooked in beef dripping are to die for! Roy get me a pint in I’m trying a steak next time! Had Sunday lunch here with the wife today and it was lovely. Proper home cooked grub, couldn't fault it, washed down with a refreshing pint of Stowfords whilst sat in the beer garden in the sunshine.Really friendly people running it especially Roy and we were made to feel really welcome. Will definitely be going back and recommending it to friends and family.

Following a meeting with the Landlords and apologies from both sides, I retract my earlier Review. It was made in the heat of the moment for which I apologise yet again.Having said what I did was a little unfair, as the owners are generally very friendly and trying desparately to make a go of a village pub, for which I commend them. In this day and age, and a village with an aged population it must difficult to to keep it going but they are trying hard and after this change of views I'm sure things will improve.

Just stopped in for food on our way through, the staff were amazing. The barman Roy made us feel so welcome. The food was amazing, the portions were massive. The restaurant was beautiful and loads of places to sit. Would recommend to anyone who loves I'm the area or is passing through.

Brilliant Pub, everybody is so keen to make you happy and content. Nothing is too much trouble, how I wish every pub had this attitude, there would be hundreds of new pubs opening!Thanks, keep it up, BD, Sue, Jo-Jo & Bear!

Top quality roast, great variety of veg & meats. Very obliging staff, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended best Sunday roast in Hereford
