Very small and congested. Tables are placed in close gaps. Not very welcoming. We had to wait for 30 mins for someone to come and take orders even though the restaurant was not very much crowded. Finally it took 1.10 hours to get our starters. Price of bottle water is very high. Serving was very ordinary and devoid of any dining mannerism. Food was not at all like authentic Indian dish. This is Bangladeshi restaurant, don't know why they say Indian. Taste is not that good, adds unnecessary sweet and big chunk of tomatoes in nonvej dishes. Not worth going again.

I along with 3 friends visited the place last night for a birthday celebration.First of all ,the place is very congested and the behavior of the stuffs were very unwelcoming. It almost seemed that they were not very happy to work at the restaurant at all.The service was not up to the mark as we had to wait for hours .As starters ,we had chicken and lamb kababs .In the main course we ordered four different side dishes of chicken and lamb along with different types of nun breads. The starters were not great but ok.The main course was appalling. The chicken pasinda was too sweet and they put too much colour into it .Did not like the abundance of tomatoes in lamb and chicken rogan josh .Also the lamb in the lamb bhuna should have been more tender.I am a foodie and have been to many cities in India and Bangladesh and the taste does not resemble remotely to the cuisine.I understand they had to make some changes in the food to make it accustomed with British palate but they should not deviate this much form the authenticity.Overall a very disappointing experience and strongly not recommended.

Lovely waiter and food was good, even if a little different to how I usually have from elsewhere.

Attended the Maharaja on the recommendation from a very good friend having moved to the area and not knowing a good restaurant to go.I love Indian food and have to say that the food here was first class. The starter was exquisitely presented, with attentive yet discreet service with the restaurant providing a serene ambiance. The mains that followed were of an equally high standard.I would thoroughly recommend the Maharaja as a dining experience and will be planning a return visit shortly.10/10

The service was friendly and the quality of the food was excellent. Rich in flavour and plenty of meat.

We stopped at this place for dinner on the way to Wales. Surprisingly amazing food and swift service. Kids and family really enjoyed the food, it was full of authentic Indian flavours, friendly staff and great price. Highly recommended for Indian food here while taking a detour to/from North Wales #Gatronomic #IndianCusine
