On Sunday 13/03 We meet up with a friend for Sunday lunch. First thing we noticed was the change of menu. And the prices ÂŁ14.50 !! Well we thought in the passed lunch has been quite good.So we ordered. When it was served, we immediately noticed the lack of puddings. When I enquired we where told there was none left. It was 1pm. We cutthrough the meat which was dried up. Then came the potatoes. Raw,absolutly raw.I called the waitress over, I quietly told her the potatoes where uncooked.. So she choose to argue with me, I " I saw them come out the oven". I said 'these potatoes aren't cooked" " yes they are " she argued. We where appalled at her behaviour.A senior staff member took over & took away our meals. My husband refused to eat anything as he didn't fancy the new menu. Our friend & I had a baked potato. We cut into them & decided they had been cooked for a week !.After lodging our complaint we expected some sort of response, perhaps an apology from Diamond.. today Thursday. Nothing. So from us. In future we'll eat next door in the pub.

The garden centre is lovely and the staff are absolutely delightful. However, we did not enjoy our experience in the cafe on this occasion. The wait for two jacket potatoes was 35 minutes by which time our drinks had gone cold. The reason given for this wait was that there had been many orders for panini lunches and there was only one panini maker. A solution would be to have an additional panini maker if panini lunches are so popular. We appreciated a good will gesture of a few chips which came with our lunch and the staff were appropriately apologetic.

Always loved this garden centre, however on today's visit we decided to have some lunch, although prices do appear to have gone up recently! Myself & my hubby decided on the gammon Sunday roast, having waited over half an hour for the lunch to arrive it looked devine, however looks can be deceiving the gammon was lovely the veg however let it down , parsnip rock hard , roasties the same inedible , which was a shame since it's changed to blue diamond I'm not impressed.

Came in last Friday 18th March for lunch with my partner. Sent the coffee back as it was very bitter to be spoken to poorly by the lady wearing a blue coat not helpful at all told nothing she could do about it, she didn’t make it. So rude!! Other staff members very helpful made me a fresh one. And apologised for their colleague. Will not be returning

Absolutely great Garden Centre... almost a destination for a Sunday afternoon. Good selection of plants and other gardening items. Also a good selection of clothing, shoes and items for the home at reasonable prices. Can't drive past without stopping for a coffee and cake at the very least.

Nice garden centre with an added 'the works'. Nice selection of decorations to buy at Christmas time. Sad to hear it's now being taken over by Blue Diamond.

I'd almost given up hope of finding a large independent garden centre close to our new home. Well I ventured out again today and I'm pleasantly surprised. This is a good sized independent garden centre with a café, plus Edinburgh Woollen Mill, gifts, The Works, Regatta and mens & womens shoes, plus everything you need for your garden. As it was almost 10.30 and I'd eaten a light yogurt breakfast at 5.45, I decided to visit the restaurant/café. I ordered Eggs Benedict and WOW was it good. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the bacon was so tasty, great supplier. Then the Hollandaise sauce, whoever they have in the kitchen, can cook. The sauce was rich and buttery, yet retained a lightness, with just enough lemon to cut through the richness, delicious.I will be returning.
