Merlots Restaurant in Telford and Wrekin

I always have a great time at Miller and Carter. The restaurant is really nicely designed and furnished, comfortable seating and not too tightly packed. Service was excellent as always, really prompt, friendly and helpful. Best thing about this place though is the food. Everything served was hot and delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection and really tender.Only disappointment was; asked for a cognacs after the meal and this seemed to confuse. They were served in chunky tumbler glasses which was a shame. Otherwise, can't fault.

Place is beautiful inside, service from Nikkita and Chris was brilliant so friendly and couldn't do enough for us always available when needed, food was beautiful my steak was so tender and full of flavour I highly recommend this place!

Lovely steak, good service - lighting a bit dim for our old eyes!

Lovely atmosphere. I was served by Michelle who made it a great experience for me.I had the sticky chipotle chicken starter which was amazing in quality and portion size. Followed then by a 10oz grain fed sirloin medium rare with a peppercorn sauce. It was very good. I would recommend to anyone and I am looking forward to going back and trying other items on the brilliant menu.

We have visited Miller & Cater b4 albeit in Exeter... So saw the one in Telford...ideal... I went for the 8oz fillet, cooked well and complimented by the iceberg with blue cheese sauce... I just felt the portion size was smaller than our local venue, the onion bread was nice just not enough of it. However I had the apple and cinnamon crumble to finish oh my Lord it was delicious, The location is perfect right on the recently re-developed quay ... Lots of bars and other eateries. But back to it ...the servers were very good, the place lacked a bit of the usual Miller flare. But as always there steaks are good 👍

Menu changed recently, no sea bass. Had fish+chips & burger and fries. All freshly made and tasty. Half burger bun was slightly overdone, btm was lightly toasted. Staff were happy to change, did not want the bother. Good experience would go again. Lunch time rush

Might be subjective here as I'm a fan of the chain, however, this is another place to get a great steak (try the 50 day ribeye, never disappoints) Very quick service in modern surroundings, highly recommended.

5 stars. Managed to fit us in with late notice whilst the restaurant was very busy, we were extremely greatful. Beautiful steaks as to be expected with Miller & Carter

Great Atmosphere, Great Food plus Very helpful staff. 100% Satisfied. I had a Butchers Block 26oz, which was a perfect choice, to share. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
