Shifnal Cottage in Telford and Wrekin

Beautiful food and fabulous service from all staff. Has become our regular Indian watering hole. Highly recommended

Haven't been there for a while. It was alot better. Service way better food excellent. 10/10.

Called up last minute on a Saturday night and was told there would be a table for us, but in hindsight wish we had been turned away.There was a 2 hour wait for food, for us and everyone else. The food that eventually arrived was… fine? Not bad but rather mediocre. Staff were great when we could flag someone down, but obviously run off their feet. No one asked us how the food was or apologised for the wait.Please hire more staff or limit the amount of tables/take out orders. I wish we’d stayed home and had takeaway!

Visited here as part of a large work group.Staff were very good and coped with the demands of a large group of people well. But I must say that the food was not as good as other local restaurants. I had a chicken balti which lacking in substance and taste not at all like others that I have had. Must say that personally I was a little disappointed by the experience. And if you are a fan of the Balti this would not be your best choice.

Nice meal when it finally arrived but unfortunately had to wait nearly 3 hrs for our main meal service was slow. Table booked for 7pm main meal arrived at 9.40 pm

20 min wait for a drink. Over and hour for starters and over 2 hrs for mains. Staff very apologetic but no explanation, no offer of any compensation. Will not return

Have now been to Shifnal Cottage on numerous occasions and can’t rate it highly enough. The food is excellent always and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit.

I have been going to Shifnal cottage many times, excellent clean restaurant with a warm and friendly feel. Especially near the fire! staff were great and the food was even better! Its the reason why I keep coming back

Looks OK from the outside but then the inside is really nice and spacious with a bar. The staff were very friendly and are quick to your needs. Really good food but not cheap or too expensive. Can get busy so suggest to book before turning up. Really liked the place and will be back again the near future.
