Nice traditional country pub with great food. Sadly now permanently closed.

Nice village pub, friendly landlord and landlady. Dizzying array of fine gins and good real ales. Home made food excellent, had a lovely roast with great choice of veg not the standard carrots and peas. Followed up with the best Bread and Butter Pudding I've had in years. You will have to wait for your food but so you should, no pinging microwaves here, fresh and hot when served. A very reasonable price I highly recommend the Lion for all the family.

Have visited The Edgmond Lion many times for a meal. Each time we have sampled something different from the menu and we have been impressed every time. All the food is cooked freshly on the premises and on each visit the food has been served by a very pleasant member of staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. The pub itself is in a beautiful little village, has ample car parking, a beer garden, a smoking area and a children's play field. All of the play field is visible from the beer garden so the children can be seen at all times by their parents. Talking of beers, there is a wide selection of those also.Altogether an excellent place which I love to visit and would recommend to anyone.Well done to all concerned.

This is a lovely country pub with a well stocked bar and a selection of real ales. Lunch we had was very nice and the outlook from the large garden is great, perfect when the weather is kind.

·

A lovely dog friendly family run pub. The food was tasty and well cooked, with plenty of gluten free options on the menu.

Visited on the evening of Tuesday 14 Nov 2017 for a meeting and Camra pub of the season presentation. Seems to be a friendly place with good beer, warm and welcoming.

My friend and thought we'd treat ourselves to lunch she ordered fish and chips that was OK. I ordered a ploughmans it was the worst I have ever had hadn't a clue what cheese certainly not cheddar there was no pickle a bit Branston would have been nice a quarter of a sausage roll slice of dry bread and margarine no butter small slice of ham that looked off and what looked like pickled cucumber and carrots it was terrible I will never go back there again.

·

Great cosy country pub with a great hosts in Sam and Laura. The new chef is doing a brilliant job with freshly cooked and sourced ingredients. Worth a drive out for the friendly atmosphere alone!
