My friend and I had an absolutely fabulous plant based burger with chunky fries and salad. I'm not a vegetarian ( she is), but I wanted something really tasty and the burger was just that! Lightly spiced, moist, everything I want in a burger 🍔. They serve our favourite wine by the glass too, which is a bonus. My two little dogs were allowed in the bar, which is very comfortable for dining and drinking. I've enjoyed a number of meals at the Huntsman and always had good service and come away with a contented smile. A lovely place to Pop in for a coffee after walking the dogs around little Wenlock and surrounding areas.

A very pleasant establishment indeed. Everywhere spotlessly clean. My choice from the menu was fish pie and it really was the best I have ever eaten. Midweek lunchtime was quite busy, I would recommend booking, we hadn't and were catered for anyway. Staff very pleasant indeed too. Definitely will be returning.

We went to the huntsman for my Dads birthday and had a wonderful time with great food. The cheapest Peroni in Shropshire and the best Medium steak iv ever had. Staff were very friendly and catered for our every need. Dad had a fantastic evening and will definitely be going back.

Having spent the afternoon climbing the Wrekin we dropped on the Huntsman by chance. In brief; excellent food, great beer and first class service. There were 6 of us dining and having not booked in advance we were lucky to get a table. We were lucky this time, next time we will definitely book a table in advance. There was a good selection of beers and the beers we had were great. The menu offered a good selection of dishes and the food was excellent. We will definitely be dining at the Huntsman when we next climb the Wrekin.

I visited this place as it was top rated in my area. As we walked it its unclear how to get seated. When seated we were offered food menus but no drinks menu or wine list, which I asked for and waited a while to get. Service was poor and slow, honestly the food wasn't as good as expected. Quite disappointed with the overall experience

Lovely country village pub. We visited after a walk over the Wrekin which is nearby. We only had drinks but the large dining area at the back of the pub was busy and the food looked like it was of a high standard. I would definitely recommend this place.

Me and my husband visited the Huntsman on Friday 11th Feb for a pre-valentines meal and we certainly was not disappointed and can honestly say this was up there with one of the best meals we have had.. On arrival we were greeted by a waitress who was very friendly and polite and took us to our table and gave us our menus which we very quickly decided on our choices and both opted for the sirloin steak and rump steak steak we had decided to skip the starters and leave room for pudding. The waitress that took our order, was very friendly and pleasant and talked us through our order along with informing me of the gins that were available when I ordered my drink which was a gin and tonic. We were actually only sat waiting for 10 minutes when our meals arrived which looked very well presented and piping hot which was lovely and once we started to tuck in we found our steaks to be cooked to perfection and exactly as we had asked for, cooked medium. We also ordered a peppercorn sauce which we shared and this also tasted great and along with sides of chips, onion rings, tomato and mushroom we were fully satisfied and could not believe how good it tasted and we both said we would definitely be returning in the future. Our waitress, who’s name was Olivia was very attentive and friendly asked if we would like to see the dessert menu in which we did not decline and ordered our desserts which were also amazing.I would definitely recommend the Huntsman Inn and will definitely be returning as it was lovely to be treated well along with the fact that the food was amazing and the staff were professional..

Absolutely love this place, a little gem and recommend a visit either to stay in one of their cosy rooms or dine in their bar/restaurant. This was our 5th visit, that is how much we love this place. Staff always make you feel welcome and the food is amazing!! We will be back.

Had a lunch here for a non-planned New Year's lunch after a lovely walk on the Wrekin. The menu has a good range of choices. I had Braised lamb shank with sauteed new potatoes, asparagus, baby onions, peas & minted gravy and My husband had Braised pork belly stuffed with black pudding served with apple & sage mashed potatoes, tenderstem broccoli & red wine gravy. Both dishes were well cooked and presented and the portion sizes were sufficient. Our only complaint was that the gravy for both dishes were too mild, not strong enough flavour. I enjoyed a glass of nice mulled wine with the meal. My husband had a pint of beer. The staff are very friendly. And they let us taste three different beers before chosing one. This is extremely uncommon and wonderful. I would recommend it without a doubt.
