Food is absolutely amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful. My nan loves to go and it’s her way or the highway but nothing is too much trouble

I've been to this pub multiple times with different friends & family and we've all been impressed how good it is. Family friendly and lovely food especially the Carvery. It's surrounding may put you off, ignore this as looks can be deceiving. Fully recommended it, will go again.

Despite not booking and being busy, they found us a table for the carvery. Very good food. Good variety of veg and plentiful. Food piping hit and staff really nice.

As I first walked through the door, the first thing I noticed was a leaking radiator with a bowl underneath to catch the water. I was then presented with a que atleast 6 meters long. It took almost 20 minutes of waiting in the que to be served drinks and shown to our table that we booked in advance. Finally after being shown to our table I was greeted with another leaking radiator next to my table!! This one had an even bigger bowl under it, and actually had black mold growing down where the water was running down!! After reading the menu I was forced to join the dreaded que again, fortunately it only took a further 10 minutes of waiting to order my meal! I ordered what I was lead to belive the "ultimate burger" When it finally arrived I was presented with what I can only describe as a very basic burger, the sort you would expect to eat out of a paper bag on the side of a layby. After biting in to the burger I immediately found it to be burnt. I cannot understand how any so called chef would think it acceptable to serve this to a paying customer. I immediately alerted a member of staff to the situation and asked for a refund. They offered to replace the burnt burger pattie and the burnt piece of bacon and re build the burger, thankfully they gave me a full refund after I refused their half hearted effort to rectify the issue. Therefore I must conclude that I strongly recommend people avoid this establishment at all costs. You would probably get a better experience dining out at mcdonald's. I am seriously considering contacting environmental health with regards to their blatant un-hygienic, moldy radiator infested restaurant, I hate to imagine what lurkes in the kitchen if they are happy to display the moldy monstrosity for all to see in the dining room.If any one is wondering why I stayed as long as I did considering what I was presented with, I was attending a birthday meal and felt obliged to stay to celebrate the occasion.

Very reasonably priced. Gluten free options. Good carvery, good cider. Staff at the bar could be a little more welcoming, the general atmosphere isn't as warm and welcoming as it could be and the carvery menu shows 4 meats available where as there are only 3. Only visited once and haven't yet been on a Sunday so it could just have been a one off but for a Friday night they were very quiet.
