The Ugly Duckling in Telford and Wrekin

We had dinner after my daughters graduation from Harper Adam’s. One of the students had arranged an after graduation dinner for over 60 people. The food was superb, the surroundings were fabulous and the waitresses/waiters were very efficient despite all their behind the scenes hard work being undone when people switched tables . Had a fabulous night and will def go back if we are ever in the area again. Thank you for a great evening.

A lovely looking pub, great atmosphere.4 of us had 3 courses each. All of our food looked great, tasted fantastic and served in good time. The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly and efficient.. An all round excellent and enjoyable experience for a friday evening meal... Thanks..

Although we’d driven past a few times and said ‘we’ve got to try this place sometime’ it wasn’t until we were told about the amazing breakfasts and were invited out that we found just HOW amazing they were.A group of 5 of us all had the full English, which was more than enough for the lads, plus teas & coffees too.Bit of work going on outside which will make this a fab spot both inside, and out for those balmy evenings

Lovely venue and good, attentive service. Unfortunately our food was beautiful but only lukewarm not hot. Two of our group were waiting for vegan options which arrived later and were very hot. Disappointed as this could have been avoided.

Loved this place. Went for a special birthday breakfast which was amazing. Really nice decor and fit out too. Really nice venue and helpful staff. Thanks for making this a great experience 🙏

We had a fabulous birthday lunch here today and can only praise the staff ,they were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, we could take our time over our orders and the food was absolutely delicious. Compliments to all concerned, you helped to make a special occasion even more so. We will be recommending you and we will definitely be back. Thank you all.

We love the Ugly Duckling. We have stayed there on two occasions when visiting family in the area. The guest rooms are clean and well appointed with really comfortable beds.The bar and restaurant has delicious food (breakfast is amazing) with great sized portions and high quality ingredients. They are also great with big groups and special events.However what really makes this place 5* is the staff and in particular the Manager Julie who is all about her guests and top notch service.

Amazing!Been for bottomless brunch 3 times now and going for a 4th this coming weekend.Very attentive staff, we were never without a drink, food was exceptional!Recommend the steak and eggs! (Brunch dish)

Lovely clean room, amazing toiletries.Best beef Wellington I've ever eaten and a great sticky toffee pudding to finish off the evening.Large breakfast.Very good experience

I've visited this pub twice now and both times have been excellent, highly recommend the fresh bread they serve while you wait. Staff are friendly, it's spotlessly clean and the food is amazing, highly recommended. I'll be visiting again.
