Following our weekly walk we arrived at 1.00pm and we were made very welcome, the pub was fairly quiet and were served incredibly well with excellent beer and great reasonably priced food. It was our first visit here but we were well looked after and will.be back again soon.Made our third visit today following our walk and I can only add that things have not altered from my previous post. The welcome was great the food and drink superb so I cannot add it is a consistently great pub.

Fantastic dog friendly pub, first visit for a pint with my dog, so impressed returned for a family meal with the daughter and grand children, and two seperate visits with my wife and Grace the dog. Great friendly service, food and beers, this is a great place to go, well done the team

Very affordable and best steak I've had in ages, delicious and of really high quality. Highly recommend! Nice area to sit out back and see the river too.

The food was gorgeous, I meant to take a picture but we ate it too quick! Friendly service and right next to the canal, so feels like a nice break from the real world for a bit.

Met family here for lunch, excellent service and the Sunday Roast is excellent value. Staff very attentive, good selection of real ales, lagers, wines and sports as you would expect. Parking is available, although the car park is small. Would be lovely by the canal in the summer, will return to try this out.

Great little place, nice outdoor area, situated next to the canal, be lovely to sit in the garden in the summer. Food was delicious, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended. First time visit, will defo be returning.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Prawn starter was especially tasty. Great place to visit after walk over North Common where wildlife is stunning.
