Well I absolutely cannot fault the lay out of this beautiful old Public House and the food is great too. BUT - I’ve just made a genuine complaint to the barmaid (who is divine and always been nothing but nice to me) about the beer tasting off (and made it clear it happens in many pubs when the beer sits in the lines too long) and the landlady came over and told me I was talking, “Bollocks” and walked off while I was talking . I need to add that id just paid for a pint of Cider as the beer was too bad to drink. So if you'd like courtesy and decorum and a decent pint then I’d suggest going elsewhere. Perhaps Walsall is a place where it’s ok to be treated like dirt?

Went to our friends Paul and Steve wedding reception there, the buffet was amazing and the staff were fantastic. An unbelievable amount of real ale and ciders on offer , brilliant pub.

An amazing building that is around 400 years old. The interior of the pub has some great wooden features behind the bar and wonderful old memorabilia on the walls. Around 20 handpulls that includes ales, stouts and ciders. Bar snacks available and food, although I didn't have a meal on this occasion I enjoyed a pork pie!I was told there's live entertainment on some Saturdays, including high quality acts. When I was here on a Wednesday afternoon, there was cricket on the screen. Will definitely return.
