First time out of hundreds that I've gone to a Premier Inn restaurant and paid for breakfast myself instead of as part of a business stay away. So I'm an expert on this subject. Food was good, service was typically understaffed and on the whole good but nothing exceptional. Not enough pastry choice and slow to refill empty servers, due to only one person being there I guess.

Food was good up until dessert. I ordered the sticky toffee pudding with a scoop of ice cream and when it came I thought it was a kids portion it was about the size of a large postage stamp and the scoop of ice cream I think the used a thimble definitely not worth the £5.29 it cost

Nice clean place with excellent friendly staff. The food is standard pub chain food but still nice enough. The breakfast wasn't great. Black pudding was soft and mushy (not pleasant at all). There was no continental breakfast as such; a few croissants, but no cold meats etc.

Myself, my daughter 9 & niece 8 visited here for food after a girly shopping spree. Food was served hot and was delicious didn't take long to come out either. There was a lovely waitress really friendly she took time to speak to me and my girls which I thought was very kind o her

A delightful bar and restaurant that provides a warm welcome. The venue has a dark and wooden decor that provides a cosy environment. There is a good selection of drinks. The service from the staff is attentive and friendly. The prices for drinks are reasonable with a few special offers during happy hour. This is a good venue for socialising or watching sport.

Two members of staff here were very accommodating. Food was not bad. There was a food item missing off our plates. It was mentioned to the staff which we found out they had run out of this item. It would have been better for the chef to let us know before serving. Mocktail was good. Wasn't a busy place.

Went with wife and our three children as well as wife's friend their partner and two children. Place was quite busy when we arrived but we were shown to our table quickly and advised to order at bar when ready. Ordered kids meals and myself and wife went for the carvery option. As mentioned before it was busy but did seem to take quite a long time for good to be brought to us and with young children this isn't ideal. The food was good quality and the size of the meals were good for the children. Carvery was a good selection and you could choose what you wanted when it came to meat, veg and trimmings. Overall very good quality food and decently priced.

Come here often but mainly for drinks and pub quiz, tried the food and not the best experience. Very nice staff, dealt with the issues I had well. Perhaps it's mainly good for drinks? Food very overpriced for the quality you get, £5.49 for the fries attached below which came out cold and nothing like the photo - sent them back and got a dessert as apologies.

Ideal location for food and drink away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Great in summer being next to the cut ( canal ) it has the Premier Inn next door / on top so ideal place to grab breakfast / lunch or dinner if staying in the local areas. easy walking distance from the town less than a minute. There is a car park but this is chargeable. Friendly welcome and place looked tidy and quite for a Friday lunch / afternoon. The 2 meals for £8.99 are a bargain. I'm not a fan of the skin on chips but they taste ok nothing special, toilets on site on the ground floor.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good range of options on the unlimited cooked breakfast. You get unlimited juice and Costa coffee as well as anything from the continental breakfast buffet. I was very happy with everything on the cooked breakfast other than the black pudding. It could have done with being cooked for longer. Overall, it was a good breakfast and I will happily eat there again.
