China Gate Cantonese Take-Away in Walsall

Golden gate has gone right downhill, 3rd time now my order has been wrong which ruins our whole meal time, to then be told got no drivers come and fetch missing items, I have drove there once to collect it is not on me to drive to you again when the rest of my food will be stone cold by time I get back, very poor service and food has started going down in quality too now so time for a change as I wont be back now so shame on you golden gate as at one time you was very good

Waited for over an hour for order and it’s still not delivered, when I phoned them up asking for delivery update they informed me that I could cancel if I wanted or wait at least another 30-40 minutes, I was a regular customer.

My address is WV12 Coppice Farm Estate, a regular customer. Ordered a £30.00+ meal for delivery at opening time 17.00hrs, recontacted them at 17.55hrs to be told out for delivery finally arrived at 18.15hrs, food was so could it all had to be microwaved and even then most of it was thrown away. Contacted them to tell them of issues to be given the reason/excuse that they went really busy (straight on opening time?). Unfortunately this isn't the 1st time but I believe everyone deserves a 2nd chance, they've had it. Only got 1 star because I couldn't leave a review on none.

Salt & Pepper shredded chicken, Imagine getting lost in a desert for days no water, mouth dry to find some overcooked chicken strips, dry as the sand, no taste & no sauce. Box of mixed starters, spring rolls overcooked & all broken apart, bbq ribs just like the chicken, Wings the same, egg fried rice(no egg) just rice in soy sauce. Never again disgusting food

I've no idea how this place has traded for so long. The people in the area must not have any sense of taste, to not notice the obvious aftertaste of old/dirty oil, on the limp soggy chips. Ate 3 chips and chucked the rest to the dogs. Hopefully they'll still be alive in the morning

Been a customer here since it opened,always lovely food until recently.Chips are scraps,boiled rice isn't fluffy anymore its very sticky,special curry isn't its normal colour,very watery.Special chow mein is lacking in colour very paleOnion rings are brand and colourlessVery disappointed as its our local one and never been elsewhere.Unfortunately we will be definitely going to try another Chinese as this is happening on every occasion.

We have ordered numerous times from this Chinese over the years, over 11 years to be precise, never disappointed. During lockdown we have tried others, also due to the fact that this Chinese is not on just eat etc, convenience and all that. I decided today to order from website and allocated our time to deliver. They did not disappoint. The food arrived piping hot, and I have to say, we have missed you. The food is amazing, thankyou very much. I will not be ordering from anywhere else ever again.

Appalling service ,waited nearly 2hour still no delivery, called them i was then told it was on the way to the house.30 mins later still no sign i rang them cancelled the order and ordered from another chineese and it was delivered in half hour. This meant I was eating my tea nearly 8pm instead of five , I would never use this place again appalling, no professionalism to run a business ,poor customer care.

We previously used a different chinese takeaway, but when the first lockdown hit our previous Chinese was not open, so we had to go elsewhere. We used Golden Gate and...... WOW amazing food, fantastic customer service and quick as well. Have not used delivery from them as I always collect but heard it is just as quick. 5/5

Tried Golden gate last night after waiting months for my favourite restaurant to reopen and finding out it wasn't opening. The food was great we had chicken yuk sung, satay chicken skewers, pancake rolls, chicken in chilli and garlic sauce.. It's was all delicious and so much of it I had enough for leftover tea tonight... Highly recommended.
