Horse and Jockey in Walsall

The staff tried hard but it's was a hovel, I was so disappointed 😞, it looked unclean, the chips were hard, none of the steaks come out how we wanted them, I knew as soon as I walked in I had made a bad choice! No wonder it was empty, I certainly won't be going again nor will I be recommending it to anyone. From the horse an jockey a few years ago there is a massive difference

Place was love and clean. Very quite though for Sunday afternoon... Staff friendly & nice... carvery was £10.95 and top up on veg was not included. Mash was thick and gravy was a little bit watery. Great space and games for children and adults availabile. Great outdoor space with small swing and slide area for small children.

Spacious pub with outdoor seating as well. Serving good pub food and Sunday Carvery advertised. Children welcome

Have no complaints, the staff were so nice and I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Always enjoyed the food here. I recently discovered I am allergic to most foods so I ordered of their free from menu, food and staff were excellent however I was given oven chips with my dinner and oven chips contain wheat, I know they don't write their menus, it's down to Marstons but I did advise that chips should be taken off the free from menu and the bar staff were very understanding and they said they'd let their boss know.

The pub is a nice establishment and the gentleman landlord very friendly.We visited last evening as we are staying one night near by on businesses.We both had a very nice steak dinner and a few drinks.Apparently this pub is under threat of being turned into a Lidl store .This country does not need any more Lidl stores ,it needs to protect its public houses.Communities disintegrate without places to meet up and socialise.Do not destroy another pub in this country.Sue and Tony

I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden little gem in Walsall wood. Such a lovely and cosy and fun pub. The food was delicious and the service was great too. The owner of the pub was really friendly and made us all feel welcome, thanks Rav. There’s a pool table, darts and a nice outdoor area to enjoy too. I’ll defo be back again

This pub had us last minute for a party booking that didn't go ahead in another venue! With approx 15 kids and 20 adults, not a single complaint from staff for the noise, we're really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Would come back recommend!!

Used to be a proper pubThey have a wonderful traditional beer but they don't advertise their own jewel in the crown.Could be do goodDoesn't attract the clientele it should

This place was amazing. It has new owners and the area no longer smells stink 😄. It's family run and everyone seems willing to help. Masks were worn and all spillages was cleaned up very fast. Very clean and efficient. This will be my local now
