Steak Rattle and Roll in Walsall

Nice little local steak restaurant, reasonably priced and good service. The food is good but there is room for improvement. (This is only because I am ex chef with high high standards.)

The young lady serving us was very pleasant, and nothing was too much trouble. Meat is sourced from Hill's family butchers in Walsall, and is of a very high quality. Wine is VERY reasonably priced, a bottle of Hardy's Shiraz was just £12.95. A complimentary bottle of birthday Prosecco was presented to me which was a nice touch and good PR. Not a 'full night out' venue, but nice for an early evening Steak. To offer a constructive criticism: a little more finesse with food presentation would just add something, I feel.

Don’t have high chairs for small children 😕😕 and have chosen to edit the review due to the response of the owner…. I have in fact visited the restaurant several times and wanted to visit this time with my family. I was told on the phone that “we haven’t got high chairs for children”. Nothing was said about them being stolen…..

Got to say we were really disappointed. We went with friends at my suggestion last weekend. We arrived fifteen minutes early and were seated only one other table was occupied. Then exactly when our table was booked for our friends joined us. By this point two other couples had arrived and were seated. The young lady who was serving brought us friends their drink orders. Then came straight back and asked for our meal order. I asked if she could please give us FIVE minutes. She went away and immediately came back to say " if we didn't order NOW we would lose our slot" . Feeling annoyed and embarrassed we all just picked something from the menu. Let me point out.,the other three tables all had their food at this point and we were the only other table in the restaurant. The food came it okay but honestly I've had much better at Wetherspoons. Four people, two drinks each and just main courses £120.Very disappointed and we would definitely not go back.

Steak was amazing, staff were very friendly. Place is not very big, a bit different, like an American diner, happy days! 60s style rock and roll played. Service is spot on.

Booked for family meal based on a friend's recommendation...we were not disappointed!! Food was amazing, prices are reasonable and the service was friendly. Cannot believe we had not been before now, will definitely be back! I also got gifted a birthday bottle of fizz which was very generous. Thanks guys!!

Wasn't sure what to expect with this place, especially given the location. However, the food was fabulous. I had a tomahawk steak & hubby had the mixed grill. Cooked to perfection, plenty of it & so reasonably priced! We had no room for desserts but they looked great along with the cocktails & milkshakes. Will be returning with our little lad next time, can't wait!

Had a lovely meal here with the family. The food was amazing. Highly recommended this place. Lovely staffs and great atmosphere.
