A large outdoor seating area showing good managerial skills that utilise the space enabling many drinkers to enjoy warm weather. Inside is impressively furnished, too.No problem to try two different ales before I bought. I settled for the Dark Star Hophead which was crisp, refreshing and hoppy.Service with a smile deserved a tip.

Very nice food, very nice staff and a very clean pub. Roomie too, with enough space between tables to enjoy a personal conversation. I popped in for breakfast. There was a wide range to choose from, including Vegie and Vegan. I had Scrambled Egg on Toast. Very nice 👍. The Coffee was excellent. I had 2 cups and regretted it all the way back home, cross legged 😄. Speaking of loos, there's were very clean, like the rest of the pub. Excellent all round. I'll be back 😁👍😍

Have to say being a local we have been here numerous times and of late the food really has been very poor. I know its a pub chain and you usually get what you pay for but the portions we had with our last nights visit were very measly and not value for money, I would say fit for a child almost ;/ also the menu has not been changed in what feels like an eternity.Although we wont be rushing to eat there again i will say that the atmosphere and the pub itself is very welcoming. Being dog friendly is also a bonus. Shame about the food...

Lovely decor, staff nice. Fair prices, okay food.

Service was rubbish on this occasion.Had to keep asking for our main course, no one collected the starters and then had to ask again for desserts. I must’ve gone up to the bar to chase the food about 4 times.Previously the service used to be better but on this occasion I was ready to walk out as my son was hungry and was waiting way too long for his food. He’s only 2.

You generally can't go wrong with an Ember Inns, consistent look and feel. Good vibe and good selection of beers at a reasonable price. Didn't eat here but menu is good value pub classics. A few steps away from the canal towpath and they are dog friendly so handy for a refreshment break when walking the pooch

Came here for lunch with my husband and sister. They opted for a lunch time sandwich and I went for the nachos. We were blown away by the portion sizes! The sandwiches were huge, filled with meat and with a side of crisps and salad. They were both very impressed and very stuffed!I don't normally get nachos but the BBQ pulled pork nachos sounded perfect. The bowl was huge! And honestly, the nachos are like nothing I've ever tasted before. They were light, big and I couldn't stop eating them. The cheese was lovely, still bubbling on top.Lovely seating area, very COVID safe spacing and the staff were really nice. We've been back since and would come back again.

Good atmosphere, below-average food. Well priced but all the food wasn't seasoned properly, and either way too hot/overcooked or had been held for a while before serving. Some decent options on the menu but nothing anyone on the table had was better than other cheaper pubs. Service was great and fast.Cocktails were not worth £5 each (on 2 for 1 offer) at all, might as well have been orange juice and vodka.. Stick to the standard drinks!!
