The Smithy's Forge in Walsall

Popped in for our Monday night treat night after weigh in at slimming world. Once a week we allow ourselves to eat anything we want and I'm so glad we choose to go to the smithy. We both had double fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious. Great size portions served piping hot and at a great price. Monday night is quiet but it's still a nice atmosphere. Freindly helpful staff who keep the place spotlessly clean. Can't wait to loose more weight and treat myself again.

The food was excellent, piping hot and delicious. The staff were so friendly, and.nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly go there again, and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it.

Took my Daughter and Grandson here for dinner today. Food was delicious and great value for money. Compliments to the Chef! Served by the lovely young lady on shift, she went above and beyond to make us especially my little grandson feel welcome. Thank you

Worse place for food I have been so far. They told me it was 45 min wait for the food. OK... more like 1h10m wait. And when the food comes out its cold and under cooked. Chicken on the mix grill is like rubber. The sossages are cold in the center. Only thing that was cooked and cooked to much was the steak.. manger said they have been very busy in the kitchen and we have had to work fast. Yes I understand but you can't cook meat in a rush.!! It needs to be COOKED! Me and my partner was the last few in the pub about 9.. ordered our food at 7 20. Obviously rushing us so they can finish.. Will never eat hear again.

I appreciate there is an offer off 50% off but over an hour wait for food. Half of the items missing on the plate and food undercooked when it arrived. Fair enough the manager gave us a free pudding. I have been to a few sizzle pubs but will not be venturing to this one again any time soon unfortunately. Very disappointed all round

I really enjoyed our last meal here... walked in to a chorus of 'we've stopped serving food' from the pub staff. It says on the website that takeaway orders are accepted until 9 and it was 8.32 so we thought food would be still being prepared.I totally get that at the moment there are staff shortages and places are having to close at different times, but there was no explanation and no apology. In fact quite the opposite, like we'd been stupid enough to think we could order food at half past eight.

First time I've been but will definitely be back every week. Lovely staff and a lovely setting. Food is amazing. Would highly recommend the black forest oreo dessert 😋

Had lunch here today. Food was lovely, well presented and excellent value. Place was clean and tidy and staff were very friendly. Will definitely return and would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal at a great price.

Nice decor. Booked online, when arriving at pub was told they had no tables although system showed I had booked ( was offered table in bar area which was ok ) after waiting for 60 minutes asked if meal was available or I would leave, manager checked and said it was on the passe. Food arrived 5 minutes later.Food was very good value with 50% off voucher.Manager very apologetic and said they were short staffed,Would definitely eat here again as the food was very good and value even at normal prices, also staff excellent.

Gorgeous food, sizzling pan was actually sizzling like most other restaurants. Food came really quick, excellent friendly staffOnly 2 tiny problems - We weren't given a steak knife and only one set of cutlery between starters and mains, and there were lipstick marks on one of our glasses but we cleaned them with a napkin. Looked clean on inside but not outside. Was tempted to give a 4* just for that as those mouth marks could have been from someone with covid, but the food was soooo good
