The chef said you want "Yorkie" and i said to the chef what did you just say and the chef said "Yorkie" lAnd i said " I've not been since last few years"And then the chef gave me a very strange looking face 🤔But all in all great guys and fun to see the humour on the chef's face! 😏Staff polite, attentive, helpful and friendly, would recommend, enjoyed the day!😁

Always loved dining here but today something wasn't quite right....namely the carvery was unpleasant. If I valued my aging teeth before I ate the stuffing then after trying to eat it, I do so even more now. Most of us thought it had been deep fried as there was a distinct "fishy" taste to it. Two choices with the roast potatoes either hard or burnt. The green beans had stalks running through them, not pleasant having to keep fishing them out of your mouth throughout.the meal. We did wonder if we had the "lunch time" leftovers at one point. The best thing about the whole meal was the gravy. And please do not be fooled by the alternative choices on the menu. We could not select the alternatives as it was "bank holiday" carvery only and an extra £4 by the way. Service was OK but not brilliant to be honest. We thought the restaurant was busy but it was in fact empty so we couldn't understand why we hardly saw our waitress. On a positive note there was 15 in our party and we were given the function room so that was nice. All in all I'd say we won't be going again any time.soon unless I get to hear it has vastly improved

Jane was the loveliest server and person tonight. Definitely an asset to this Toby carvery. We had carveries and chocolate brownies with drinks. The carveries were delicious as were the brownies. The only thing that let the restaurant down was the state of the ladies' toilets which didn't look they'd been checked all day but I'm not going to mark them down for that as we did enjoy ourselves.Service was quick and paying was easy.Atmosphere in the restaurant was friendly and will definitely look to visit again.

Great place to eat. Regularly visit for breakfast. Polite and friendly staff. Only reason i dropped a star was because there was no chef to change the hot stuff over and lids were too hot to open so had to carry on or food would get cold. Usually a great service though.

Booked ahead to reserve a table, this toby normally gets pretty busy at tea time , in saying that only got a table after 7.30pm . The food was excellent as usual with a choice of ham, pork and lamb,no turkey available as all gone, usual veg for a carvery. In saying that came out full after enjoying the meal and will definitely recommend this toby .Just one more thing, I downloaded the Toby App and used it to pay for everything, very easy to use .Been again today and pre-booked our table and payed again on the toby app.Carl

Nice place it's been a few years since we've been here & looks like they're had a refurb. Very nice the meal was lovely I had lamb very tender. But as was walking out the roof started leaking right over the food a lot I mean a lot. So don't think they'll be serving any more food today.

Everything was wonderful, but a bit chilly, our table was positioned under an air conditioning outlet as was an adjacent table. Despite two requests from the adjacent table, it was left on as was. If it had been extremely busy or a warm day then it would have been necessary, but not during December. While some drinks were not available due to delayed deliveries, there was still sufficient choice of alternatives. However, the food service was excellent as always, the carvery chef being professional and polite, chatting as he served to help relax and make customers feel very welcome. Generous portions for everyone, the meat being tender, plus a good selection of vegetables to fill your plate as you wished. All being hot and cooked to perfection. Table service was quick, as at first the premises were quiet, but even when busy later, service level was still good. We never felt rushed over our meals and we could converse without raising our voices as there was no loud and intrusive (so called) music being played to annoy us. A true positive… All our party do recommend the Toby Broadway for a visit and we felt both welcome and that the staff cared about the service too. Thank you to all for an excellent meal.

My friend and I went for a car very. The only complaint I have is that the pork and beef were very fatty. Couldn’t eat it and the roasts were over done. Otherwise it was a lovely meal. Lovely staff and very comfortable. If these issues are resolved will be going backKaren

As a support worker for a young gentleman with additional needs, I just wanted to leave a review on the positive dining experiences we always have here.Today, I booked online and added a special request for a booth. It was very busy with it being a Sunday, but still, the gentleman that greeted us at the door was able to seat us in a booth & was very polite (sorry not to address you by name - one of the managers I think, checked shirt & tattoos!)The waitress with blonde hair & glasses (sorry again for not knowing your name!) - every time we come in, she remembers us & is so friendly and patient. Although she is aware that the young man we support is non-verbal, she still acknowledges & addresses him directly, which is lovely.Food is always delicious, wheelchair accessible restaurant & friendly staff. Thank you for a lovely dining experience, as always & being such an accommodating & disability-friendly establishment ☺️
