Initially greeted by staff that were less than welcoming, and didn’t smile. Feeling disillusioned I reluctant decided to give the benefit of the doubt. We were a party of 5 and they also felt the negativity of two particular staff. The food was lovely and the portions were very generous and pricing was fair. I had the bread board which was exceptional, and had the fish and chips for the main, followed by the crème brûlée. Beautifully cooked and presented. Three stars purely for the initial impolite staff, However we had two other staff members serve us, and they were lovely and, really attended to all our needs, and nothing was too much trouble.

We recently booked a wake here and found the experience disappointing. First impressions were good, the building has character and the staff were all friendly. However, it became apparent that they should not have accepted the booking if they intended to also accommodate a large number of other guests at the same time. Our booking was 32 people and we were led through a nice dining area to a back room which was probably suitably sized to seat 20 people. Hence, we were really cramped, with some of the guests having to ask 4 or 5 people to move to allow them just to leave their seat. Far from ideal. We also found service to be slow, having to ask for service on several occasions. My conclusion is that it's probably fine for an occasional visit, but I strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you want to book for an event as they accept too many bookings. On another day, I would have made a complaint on the day to the manager but the day was already difficult enough emotionally and all we had hoped for was a nice dining experience.

The food tasted lovely, not enough veg to share on a Sunday dinner as comes more like a side to share between the table/four people. Fair selection of drinks on offer. Not much room to move around, feels like lots of staff stood in corridors not doing much. Makes it hard to move around, such as going to the bar, or the toilets. Small car park makes parking very challenging.

Both went for the vegetarian options, plenty of choice for starters and main courses. The flavours added to the whole experience and the portions were more than enough and my wife had to have her left overs wrapped as she was unable to finish either course. Prices were below expectations.Well Done Toll House

This place is like the Tardis on Doctor Who. It really doesn't look that big from the outside, but there's multiple large rooms for dining. Oak beam ceilings and a bit of a dates feel but staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Had a Christmas meal with my colleagues and food was excellent. The only down side is the car park is do small it cannot in any way accommodate all its patrons! So make sure you arrive early and scope out a side street as it's likely to be full.

Went here to give my sister & brother in law a special 60th Wedding Anniversary lunch. This has to be the best restaurant in Willenhall. We were served beautifully cooked fresh food from the Pensioner “special” menu. Absolute bargain! Service very good, atmosphere again very good. I’ve read the other reviews which seem to be evening dining so can’t compare, but my lunchtime experience was very good.
