A meal for two tonight - prompt, friendly service and a great new menu. The pub had a different feel to it as we haven't been for months - but it was a nice different! Chicken curry went down well and my chilli was spicy but not overpowering. Delicious on both counts. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded but it was early evening. As always a relaxed atmosphere and the fire was being lit while we were there so I'll remember that if we want to eat out on a chilly winter's night!Sunday lunch here after our walk around the castle. I was assured the children's fish fingers were amazing as were the pigs in blankets. The deep fried halloumi was another favourite. The roast beef and pork were tasty but one little complaint was the small amount of horseradish sauce available. More next time please. Always friendly service there which you can't fault.

What a great little pub with fantastic food.Came here two nights in a row whilst working away from home (London) and was made to feel very welcome even after spilling my cider after two sips and it was refilled before I had time to apologiseGreat value for money and with a happy hour on drinks you can’t go wrong the food was fantastic (best onion rings I’ve ever tasted)definitely worth a visit

Stake and stilton pie was just great, not too much but exactly right amount of stilton and mushroom. My companions liked their food too. Non-alcoholic ginger beer was good too, not too sweet. And not too pricey. The location is excellent, with the Kenilworth castle just opposite, thatched roof houses and St Mary's Abbey further to the left downhill. The style is very nice, typical for a pub. A bit narrow with tables in one row. If you are sitting at the door and along the windows there is a strong draught. And people smoking at the entrance have their fresh exhaust flown directly into other people faces with the draught. I don't think they mean to be rude, but the management might want to arrange another smoking place. On the opposite side, near the kitchen, the table for 5-6 is on the contrary in a very hot spot. However, the pub is worth a visit because the food is good, the location is excellent, and the waiters are very friendly and attentative, not too much. Overall, 4 stars.PS. I've seen _very well behaved dogs inside.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Just one criticism though just needs abit more blue cheese on burger for me, but apart from that everything else was spot on and will definitely be going back to try other dishes on the menu. We'll done to all of you

Great family pub. Have had the Sunday roast on two occasions and both times the service has been fantastic and the food delicious with very generous portions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Located close to Kenilworth Castle.

Great local pub and eatery. Very good choice of food on the menu, including a number of vegetarian meals. Comfortable surroundings. Pleasant outside terrace with delightful seating areas. The staff at the Clarendon are great . . . thoughtful and considerate. If you haven't been there, it's certainly worth a try.
