Emperors in Warwick

Emperor's has a lot going for it, the décor is amazing (love the turning tables!) and the food never disappoints: tasty and exciting with an authentic feel. However the service has gone downhill in the last few years, it seems clear that they're struggling to keep good waiting staff besides the couple of older Chinese ladies that always do a great job. While manageable during the week, the staff is overwhelmed when it's very busy and I would avoid going there on a Saturday night.

Good reasonably priced Chinese food in nice dining room. Service was very good and food served efficiently. Clearly very popular, very busy but super pleasant atmosphere.

I wish we had read the reviews before we visited ---definately NOT what it was the ribs where very tough the Peking duck was dry and fairly tatseless the sweet and sour chicken was ------ chewy---- the sinapore noodles where fairly tasteles and as others said the bill was NOT iemised and now realise we where overcharged by just 11% the Micehlin rating needs to be reviewed !! -------

Had a superb family evening with one of the banquet menus. Great atmosphere, hasn't changed in donkeys ' years.

reception area was stacked with chairs and very unwelcoming, this used to be a nice area where you could sir and inspect menu whilst having an aperitiff and meet your friends etc, now looks like a train station in Siberia.cold unwelcoming. Restaurant was buzzing, staff were poor, bad language skills, no idea of etiquette, loads of kids serving, the boss was very friendless,food was good and not more expensive than competitors,all in all, sadly, not a destination venue, and so ,would not go there again for a special occasion meal/event,shame as it for 30 odd years it was the ,go to , place for cantonese.keith fairbrother

I'm genuinely shocked at the service here. We were more or less ignored the entire time we were here. It seemed like a hassle to serve us despite the staff being eager to serve the older patrons around us. We watched people show up after us and be served before us as well as more frequently checked on. The food was fine but the service was so off putting, I wouldn't recommend it.

Nice food in lovely surroundings. Food was hot with most standard dishes costing £11 each. A few vegetarian dishes were on offer, including tofu where you could choose the sauce. The duck in hoisin sauce is literally a duck breast with a small dipping sauce on the side. Tasted good, but not what was expected.Service was fine as the restaurant was very busy. We were not chased for buying extra drinks, which was good, but conversely no one came back to ask if we were ok despite taking a bottle away.

This is up there with some of the best Chinese food I’ve tasted. Considering I used to live in China, I’ve experienced a great variety of Chinese cuisine and Emperors easily matches some of the absolute best for the quality and consistency of their food. I saw a couple of reviews that mentioned the decor/toilets etc. I think that’s a little unfair given most restaurants have been in survival mode for nearly 2 years. Personally I like the decor and ambience. I would highly recommend the salt and chilli fried aubergine but you can’t really go wrong with anything on this small but well perfected menu.

Great meal. Worth a visit. Loved that it was a small menu. But every item cooked perfectly.

This is ok, I wont be rushing back any day soon. The food was mediocre at best and the service a mix of attentive and ignore. Such a shame as the welcome we recieved when we got there was perfect. The location is good and prices reasonable but as I say the food lacked any flavour at all, I even had to send one back which I think is a first for me
