Wonderful food and a welcoming host in a small welcoming environment. This was our first visit but certainly won't be our last.

Fantastic, quality food and service. Each dish was rich in flavour and left us curious and excited about what was coming next.

Here's some great food and wine, no choice eat and drink what you are given, put the phone away talk to the people you came with. Here the food is the star not you. Go with a broad mind return with a broad tummy, fussy eaters need not apply

Different dining experience, intimate atmosphere and the food was very good.

The whole experience was simply stunning. The food was beautiful and tasty. The hosts were excellent. This place is underrated and feels extremely exclusive. I know my food and every flavour and every texture was spot on. When the bill came I was astounded it could easily be 20 more pounds a head!

Why I haven't been here before while living so close is beyond me!Went for the first time last night and was absolutely blown away.Fabulous 7 course taster experience, brilliant service and a lovely friendly atmosphere.Every single course was beautiful, they seemed to get better as they came and I loved the fact that there's no menu to see and you don't know what's coming next.Great wine too and fantastic value for money.I will be back regularly!

Amazing food with such brilliant atmosphere. The chef Gerald and the team working there made us feel very welcome. One of the best restaurants in the Warwickshire.

Lovely meal here, slightly disconcerting not knowing the cost of the meal or wine before hand but I'm sure they'll tell you if you ask - it was £7 a glass of wine and £35 each for the meal itself for us. Service was lovely and homely.Foodwise, it was good, on our night we had rare beef and curry sauce on supermarket rice crackers, an odd but delicious combo; celeriac soup; prawn in salsa verde, mushrooms on brioche...the let downs were that the bread was cold and supermarket bought imo, the chicken main which was overdone, the parsnip accompanying it underdone (but the sauce absolutely stunning). Dessert definitely felt like an afterthought of whipped cream, caramel sauce and Sauternes but given the size of kitchen and the uncertainty of weekday covers it was always going to have to be something prepared earlier or quick on the go. Overall, great idea, definitely someone's aspirations come to life and well worth the price point.

Amazing place. Love the concept. Wouldn't work for fussy eaters so if you are picky .. simply don't go. There is no menu, the host feeds you and it's an absolute delight. It is honest food, beautiful produce and absolutely rammed with taste. Perfect portions so you don't come away feeling uncomfortably stuffed. Five courses plus bread (which is a meal in itself and heavenly). What I really loved was the fact that there were no fancy processes, no pacojets were involved with this meal (very uncommon in good establishments these days) and it was accordingly deliciously simple. Definitely a must if you love food and you find yourself in this part of the world

We were so excited to visit La Mesa and it didn't disappoint. They catered excellently to our request for veggie friendly food and every dish served to us was excellent. Just pace yourself with a bit of wine and soak im the atmosphere. Highly recommended!
