It's not what you say but the manner in which you say it that causes offense.Have been here many times, but this morning's experience deserves a review. New ownership? New staff? No idea, but so rude! Our group of students with special needs each made their purchase and sat outside to consume them. Their experience of being served varied hugely between the lady that was extremely patient and accommodating and the gentleman that was frankly neither and would make no allowances to allow our non-verbal students to make their choices. As I sat with them, I tucked into my own cookie. I was curtly told that I can't eat my own food and that there are signs. True enough, but there's a polite way to communicate and that certainly wasn't it. We've been going there for years with our students and following the same routine, with nothing but friendly, helpful and accommodating staff there, but if it's my choice then we'll never return. He not only lost out on the order for staff drinks that had yet to be placed, but also our repeat business.Such a shame.

Very slow survice. We had a big order (which i understand will take longer than smaller orders) but i had to wait over 45 minutes (when it wasn't busy) for 2 hot chocolates, 2 childrens sausage and chips, a cold baguette, 2 chicken burgers 1 beef burger and portion of chips! Other orders that had burgers and hotdogs that ordered after me got their food within 5 minutes of ordering! When they eventually shouted out my number I asked if i could quickly use the tray that they brought the food to the collection window and I'll bring it back straight away. The person said no and i had to then carry all 7 items as well as the 2 hot chocolates from the window to the table! Staff are quite rude and do not make it easy for disabled people at all! There is no one that cleans the tables and the tables are filthy! Will not be going there again. I'd rather take a picnic!

We attended St Nicholas park on 16th May to walk our dogs and to generally get out during the recent change in the Covid lockdown. Cafe and crazy golf currently still closed, so after walking dogs we had taken a putter and a couple of golf balls to have a little play on the crazy golf. However, within seconds we were approached by the cafe owner, who also runs the crazy golf to advise us that it was not free and although he was currently closed he was not happy for us to use it, although no signs to say not for use. I tried to reason wih him and he flatly refused and asked us to return next week if the cafe was open and pay for it! Not very public spirited during these difficult times, when most people are pulling together!!!! However he had no objections to two small children and their parents running and climbing over the facility! Just to confirm we would not have had any objection to paying had the facility been open.We are locals and regular users of the cafe, despite the unreasonable prices, as we generally choose to support local businesses. That was until now however! Due to the owners unreasonable attitude, which from other reviews appears to be a common experience when visiting this business.

We came to Warwick park, Sunday 9th July for a morning out. After taking the kids in the park and then having a run around we went to the st Nicholas park cafe, on the Warwick park grounds. The lady in the serving hatch pretty much shouted at us and was very rude. We begrudgingly gave her our money for the ice creams and told her we would not be coming back again, and to be honest she didn’t seem to care. We won’t ever spend money there again. Avoid if you can

Visited early August. Huge queue with a small sign at the counter stating ‘cash only’. Unhelpful given current circumstances, especially for customers hoping to pay contactless who do not know that cards are not accepted until they reach the front of the queue.

Beware if you have food intolerances / allergies. Visited today having purchased food for my wife & I and whilst actually eating we were confronted by staff because my daughter who has severe food intolerances, had brought specially prepared food. The owner? persisted and my daughter was so distressed she left. The establishment clearly doesn't get it, no idea about the issue. Totally ruined our day out. Not all disabilities are visible.

Lovely little cafe in the main park, lots of glass to look out over the park on colder days. Good selection of cakes. Also does light food but cannot comment as just had a drink. Park toilets are close by, so no facilities in the cafe. Very friendly and nice atmosphere in the cafe.

Really good cafe serving some great homemade food and cakes. I particularly like the fish finger sandwich! Plus they allow dogs so it's useful when you've been in the park

Service is extremely slow, they really need more people serving. Perhaps that's also why they struggle to crack a smile and appear that they actually want you there.
