Great friendly, attentive staff. Service was tip top. Credit to all.The Sunday lunch was superb, hot, tasty, ample size, with extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings offered mid meal. There are also lots of other choices available if you prefer. Fabulous experience, TQ team Star and Garter, we will be back.

We visited and ate as a family gathering of 8 inc 2 children early Saturday evening. Thoroughly recommended. Good and inaginative menu , inc for children, with wide choice of well prepared and tasty food. Wines and ales also good. Would happily return.

The service was outstanding, we were welcomed as we went in and taken care of for the whole of the time we were there. The food was excellent, compliments to the chef as well. The place was very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Loved this place!Went here for a Sunday lunch and it was brilliant. Really tasty comfort food at a decent price. The Sunday roast was great and the black pudding scotch egg (pictured) was a thing of beauty! 🤤All the staff were really friendly despite running around as it was so busy.Would definitely recommend to others.

Really friendly service for my friends hen do. The private room is brilliant and even has its own balcony. The food was average and quite expensive. But we had a fab time and the staff were brilliant.

Hour to be served with two fractious hungry children, very llittle meat on Sunday roast and was very fatty... apple crumble was delicious other deserts ordered were poor £170 certainly not worth that ... back to the Heatcote carvery it is then

Popped in on a Thursday night , staff was running round and could not show me the great customer experience I deserve. Was not greeted at the door not a farewell. The bar was absolutely disgusting - puddles of beer and old stains from previous customers - one bar maid interacted with me briefly as I was scratching my scratch cards and asked if I won - then continued running round understaffed - the only memory I have now of this establishment is a very poor experience an experience I would never want A customer to have to go through.My first impression being a peach pub like the almanack in kenilworth was far too high and £5.20 ish for a pint of flat dull lifeless premium latger is very disappointing too- to be fare me being upset is an understatement

Went for a birthday party ( 10 people on table) and we were told after ordering that some items on the menu were not available. This was fine as we managed to order something else but my salmon arrived raw ( I'm not exaggerating, the skin was cooked but the meat raw) so I had to send it back and it came back in a pool of butter.Overall the food was disappointing considering the price point of the main around £20.The staff was lovely though thanks to them

We went here for our works Christmas party, and although the food I had was very tasty - camembert to start, rib of beef for main. When we went upstairs to the function room, the stairs had clearly not been hoovered for a very long time! There was a Christmas tree in the room which was lovely, but no christmas table decorations , and most disappointingly there were no Christmas Crackers. Its not really a Christmas party without a little paper hat on. We would have been better off having a couple of tables in the restaurant and eating off the main menu for better value and better atmosphere.

Just went for Sunday lunch. It was fabulous from start to finish. Lovely staff and the food was so nice. I had the goat's cheese for starter and veggie roast for main. Both generous portions and sublime. The extra pot of gravy was very welcome and generous! They were very busy but the staff were brilliant and food was served at a lovely pace.Thanks so much, can't wait to come back and try more menu items 😊
