The Bear and Ragged Staff in Warwick

I had an absolutely fantastic evening in the Bear and Ragged Staff - the food was sublime. I had a katsu chicken burger; my date had a chicken pie.The fantastic leadership shown by Ellie in the bar and Alex in the kitchen was evident through my entire stay.The whole team shone, professional throughout yet warm and welcoming.5/5, can't recommend enough, would definitely come back.

Without doubt Leanne and Danny’s Sunday lunch is the best in the county and you really should book in advance to avoid being left watching everyone else tuck into the fabbie grub.(even teh veggie stuff is cooked separately).Very welcoming atmosphere , happy to let in dogs and all decorated to a good standard.The menu is good, varied and Leanne does an amazing job and the food is served all day.. Its also very good for veggies. If you want a light lunch the soup and rosaries are just smashing.Its also a good spot for sport (footy/rugby /cricket) and has an incredibly competitive Bingo night on MondayDecent wine list and good range of beers including guest beers . Great brunch menu if you book in advanceSo if you are visiting the area for work or leisure, this is a great find.

Very good service, very friendly staff and offer inside and outside seating. Free Pool on Thursday. Also serve nice quality food 10/10

Highly recommended wonderful food excellent service customer service to all staff with management and staff within. Nice place to Social and meet up with friends.

First and unfortunately last visit. Lunch of toasted sandwich and a burger took 45 minutes and when we got it the sandwich was chicken and bacon not hunters chicken, I sent it back and they basically scraped the mayo off and added bbq sauce and brought it out in a takeaway box. So the bread hadn't even been refreshed just scraped and re used, chicken reheated for a second time. Needless to say I didn't eat it. Also neither of the chefs was wearing any sort of hair covering whatsoever. Unacceptable

Food is overpriced for what you get, with no deals on anything. I went for a fish a chips and was very disappointed with the fish, as was 1 part fish 2 parts batter. Doubt will eat there again as better places to eat in kenilworth. But on a positive the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I thought it was a pleasant friendly pub. Beer was great and the food as expected and good value.When you compare this to other pubs/chains near here or by the castle, this one feels like a local, rather than a pretentious pretender serving unwitting customers 'mutton dressed as lamb'.

Not great tbf. Half a Roast chicken should come with a very small, very cooked description. If I had an ounce of meat I was lucky. Love this pub just ordered the wrong thing..I just wish the 'cook' would refuse to send it out.... but alas he didn't and I got it. Yeah I can send it back but we didn't have time to hang around..
