Excellent food, great service and price. The kids play area and outdoor option is great when the weather is good. When it’s cold or wet indoor is a traditional pub with good spacious tables. The orders are taken swiftly and the food arrives in good time piping hot and most importantly is very tasty. The setting with the common behind means you can have a nice walk and then some good food in a traditional pub, could not fault it.

It was a lovely venue for our friends wedding with a lovely view. Enjoyed it a lot and would be worth heading back again

Met an old friend for a walk and we worked up an.appetite for breakfast, we were shown a table inside, and noted it was 11am breakfast stop at 11.30. We both had the sourdough with poached egg, I added bacon to mine, and coffees, service was friendly helpful and food came quickly.Highly recommended 👌

One of my grandsons had his wedding reception here in the orangery. It is a really lovely place. Lots of green space around it. Food was great.

Lovely pub and excellent table service. The price is steep for the portion size. £15 for a cauliflower curry with no bread etc seems steep

Good service good food. The steak pie was very tasty well worth the visit. Dog friendly Childrens play area. Plenty of parking spaces free of charge.

I opted for Whitebait with Fruit Crumble to follow. I have to say the Crumble was delicious and possibly one of the best I'd ever had with lots of crunch to the crumble topping and big chunks of fruit underneath. Plus I managed to get the table in front of the fire which was perfect for defrosting my feet. The staff are always friendly and I love that it's a dog friendly pub

Staff very friendly, the food was good, we had the Sunday roast 😋 and the pub has a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Lovely greeting on arrival, quick service to the table. Have eaten here a few times before lockdown. Good food and service every time. Lovely place and the team. The Newbold Comyn behind the pub is also great for walk.
