The Town House Inn in Warwick

Pros - the room was really spacious, I really liked the decor, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and tried to help with some issues.Cons - the room was absolutely boiling. There was a wierd air con behind a picture on the wall but it was v noisy. Also I seemed to be next to some kind of boiler room hence the heat, it wasn't a hot day or hot elsewhere in the building. I also had to close the window because...I also seemed to be above the kitchen which seemed to have a wierd partial roof. I could hear the kitchen staff chatting and singing while I was trying to prep for work the next day. Coming up to 10 I ended up asking one of the members of staff to ask if they could be quieter - I don't know if this was deliberate but after that they got LOUDER - it also went on for quite some while more despite being told they would soon be going home. By this point I had changed into my pyjamas so didn't want to walk back into the bar.Also very minor, I just wanted to watch TV for 30 mins and there was a bizarre issue with the remote control that wouldn't enable scrolling through the guide so I just had to 'guess' the numbers to change channel. A member of staff tried to sort it and couldn't. I gave up.I also didn't get breakfast as it wasn't served until 9am - I needed to be at work by 8am the next day so this was useless!

Nice bar in a good location, very clean and well kept. Service is friendly and prompt. Slightly away from the river, though still in a good central location opposite Shakespeare's Schoolroom. Food is excellent, and it is a good place to go for drinks. Only slight negative is that it is little pricey for Stratford.

Delicious food in lovely setting with friendly and attentive staff.There were several errors on the menu: Items marked as gluten free were in fact unsuitable for guests with coeliac disease. The staff assured us the menus would be corrected. Despite this hiccup, the GF main selected by my wife was indeed suitable and we had a good evening.

Very comfortable rooms. Great location in the heart of Stratford. Delicious hot breakfast and attentive staff. We will return for sure.

We stayed at this location for one night. Totally blown away by the location.The room was spacious and really clean, there would be no faults if this one was featured on 4 in a bed.The service and food for evening meal was outstanding. I had the burger and it was one of the best I have ever tasted.The breakfast was so well presented and tasted delicious.The Manager was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble.Highly recommend this hotel.

Had a pre theatre dinner here last night. 2 courses for £15. The restaurant is beautifully set out and has a really lovely ambience. The service was very friendly and quick but not once did we feel rushed and the food was amazing! Made a Wednesday evening meal with a special friend very memorable. Would come back in a heartbeat.

I was shocked and massively disappointed at the total lack of vegetarian options (let alone vegan).I visited for lunch with family, one of who is vegetarian. The small sandwich menu was entirely meat/fish, and the only option on the main menu was a pesto pasta. We ended up with the tomato soup and a bar snack of halloumi chips (the halloumi was excellent), but it’s not hard to come up with a range of vegetarian options. The staff also seemed quite bewildered at our request for vegetarian options, as if we’d announced we were celiac. We’d have loved to have enjoyed a bigger lunch (thus spending more) but the menu options were just so limited.A small 125ml glass of wine was £7.50 which seemed steep.The Townhouse is a lovely restaurant (if you eat meat), it has a calm ambience and despite not many options, the food we did have was certainly tasty. It is usually a quieter spot for lunch on a weekend with it being slightly away from the town centre, and tourists tend to flock to restaurants along the riverside.

Henry Gent is an amazing bar tender so understanding and nice super professional as well with a funny side.Ashley who cooked my food was superb lovely and tender.I will be coming back.

Couldn't have chosen a better hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our family. Staff wonderful, dinner amazing and accommodation excellent. Don't just think about it....book it!

Popped in after a damp afternoon of flat hunting. Was a bit early for dinner, around 5pm, but they had a deal on for early diners, so perfect. Staff were warm and friendly, and the venue was cosy and clean. The food was truly excellent. Those last two are not always not always a given, as it's easy to let standards slide during quiet periods such as a murky cold night in January. We had the tortellini and lamb shank pie; both were wonderful, excellently cooked and beautifully presented. When we move to the area this will be a regular haunt, I'm sure.
