The food was a bit disappointing (actually we wouldn’t go back). The meatballs were better than the sea bass main but the bread was under cooked(lovely sauce however). Overall felt ‘home cooked’ and reheated.

Smart, friendly pub serving homemade, gastropub-level meals without the pretentiousness. Friendly staff kept service moving briskly. Some more vegetables on the kids menu would be good, however - currently, only one or two dishes offer peas or salad.

Love this pub in the country, the food is always excellent although I was disappointed that they didn't have the lamb shank on. But the steak and kidney pie is excellent.

Good meal. Busy pub, but everything served in a timely way. Definitely worth a visit.

Even though we sat outside the service was excellent and the sandwiches we had for lunch were generously portioned, tasty and good value. Great location too on the side of the canal. Worth a visit.

Lovely pub, great food for the wedding reception I went to, would like to go back and try it's day menu. Really friendly staff, dog friendly and really clean. Lots of parking to.

Had a wonderful meal. We were celebrating 🍾 ❤️ mums birthday. The staff were fabulous, food excellent and we were made extremely welcome including our dogs.

This is a lovely place, warm, welcoming and grey decor that I thought of as modern rustic. The menu was varied and we'll priced with enough choice for most tastes. We went for olives and bread initially, which were plentiful and good quality. I also had a starter with the king prawns and then moved on to the half a chicken with Piri Piri sauce, which was the only thing that wasn't the best as it was very sweet tasting which I found odd. My wife had the duck salad for the main, which was awesome and really tasty. Overall a good experience with friendly staff,a good atmosphere and great food. Only thing I found a little disappointing is that service was almost too fast and you weren't given too much time between courses. So, we were all done in little over an hour, but all the same we would go back and hence the four stars.

What a lovely pub, so many cute doggies ( very dog friendly) and wonderful service, great prices, Tasty food, a little walk along the canal, what more could you want
