Very tasty, well prepared, home cooked food, with a decent presentation and excellent tasteAnd that in the lower pub price range. It was a bit of a surprise find really. The car park was almost empty, to the point where we thought, can it be that bad?Came inside and were welcomed by friendly staff. What I would say is, they are hiding it well, but once you order the food, then the world is all in order.

We stumbled across this hidden gem while in the area yesterday. What a lovely atmosphere! The pub itself was decorated with historic and quirky memorabilia and it was an absolute pleasure to be in such comfortable, welcoming surroundings. To top this the staff were overflowing and catered to our every need. A great choice of ales pleased the men folk! We had two dogs in tow and it was lovely that the staff made them welcome, even providing 2 sausages for them on request. The menu was perfect and had many options! The food was outstanding and great value for money as it was homemade! I can recommend the chilli! Pubs like this are worth a great review. Overall I will definitely be visiting again. I would give this hidden gem 10 out of 10 in fact more! Thank you to the staff for making us so welcome during our impromptu visit 😊

Lovely homely welcoming place, popped in for some food and they had a vegan and vegetarian menu too which didn't dissapoint! Lady who worked there went above and beyond today to make sure we were fully satisfied and catered towards our dairy intolerant child :)

Nice and cosy pub, there's a wide range of meals on offer including a vegan and vegetarian menu too. It's probably best to book a table in advance to guarantee a table.

Service is great and the food is even better, I left there full and very satisfied! The only thing I didn't like was how you've got to walk on the road with no pathway to get between the pub and car park as it could be dangerous at times especially if you have children (so just a heads up!)But otherwise it's a lovely pub with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.

Food is absolutely amazing, been for the first time today. I had the double Angus burger and my wife had tandori lamb chops. All arrived at our table, in a takeaway box (due to covid regulations). But took nothing away from the great taste. Service was first class, and well worth a visit. Best bar food, I've had in years.

Beer was OK. Nice outside heated seating area. Given it a 3 star because of the customer service.Staff member brought our beer to the table.. no interaction. Asked if they were serving food. All I got was a nod. They came out again to deliver beer to another table. I then had to ask if they had a menu.... 'The menu is inside' was the answer. Had to go and fetch it myself. :(Decided to goto another pub for lunch .Menu looked good thou tbf.

Weather was good so decided to visit here to eat outdoors. Table was dirty and stained had to ask for it it be cleaned. Food was given in a takeaway bag and arrived in boxes. I did not ask for takeaway? I thought it would have been served in plates. £17 for some fries, naan, salad and bland meat. Not worth it.
