popped in for the first time for a quick pint mid week whilst visiting friends, dont think ill bother again, Drinks are to expensive and its very "clicky"Also overheard a member of staff Offering "Incentives" to a few customers that they were VERY familiar with to leave excellent Reviews for themAdditionally noticed a 5star food hygiene rating sticker in the window dated 2020 which CANNOT relate to them as they are new to the pub, I have since looked this up on Wolverhampton Council website and it states "The Grapes are awaiting an inspection" Not sure how they are allowed to, serve food without first having an official hygiene inspection and being signed off!

Absolutely fantastic! We went for a lovely meal with drinks-great atmosphere (didn’t observe / see any folk in hoodies etc as the previous reviewer commented upon). The beer garden was well set out (socially distanced) with families of up to 6 which we observed being monitored throughout. The new owners Vik and Sat were highly professional and amazing at ensuring that we were looked after, served whilst also consistently checking in on all other customers throughout. Service was second to none, the atmosphere felt very relaxed yet adhering to the current covid restrictions by ensuring that tables had no more than 6 people around them. The new owners and staff were visibly seen at all times regulating and monitoring ensuring that all customers were seen to, were comfortable and checking that all doors and windows were open, reminding customers upon entry too about the current covid rules (face masks etc when moving around) whilst ensuring that they had a nice experience in general with their family / friends and felt safe. This pub had a nice family oriented atmosphere (at a high standard) and we had a lovely first experience-we will definitely highly recommend it and come back again.

As a returning customer of many years I was looking forward to the new owners/managers reopening and continuing the community led atmosphere. Unfortunately after a recent visit I was left really disappointed. We were made to fee like outsiders and our presence and drinks order was dismissed a number of times in favour of others. The clientele it now appears to be attracting (predominantly groups of cap/hoodie wearing males, with a strong smell of weed about them which may I also add were grouped above the rule of 6) is far from the safe, welcoming, family reputation the pub has become synonymous with. Sadly I feel that in time this will lead to the demise of what was once a well know, welcoming, community pub, with an excellent reputation, in favour of yet another 'chav' hangout.
