The King's Head Bar + Grill in Worcester

Lack of care for customers.. Came with a big group yesterday for a pre planned / booked event that was meant to include food. They waited for the stag to turn up and ask what was happening before saying they are having a refurbishment so no food. What's worse is they didn't properly apologise and lied to add insult to wrecking his day. Saying "they tried to call him" no missed calls no voicemails....Just be honest with it.Assuming they only didn't tell him to get 21 drinks in the till.LUCKILY a very stressed bride to be managed to get us in to Cafe Mela last minute. Perfect food and great treatment of their customers, would highly recommend there. 👌

TERRBILE CUSTOMER SERVICEHonestly the worst conducted business in Worcester. A table for 21 people to eat for a friendly stag do was booked months in advance.We all turned up on the day to be told they were not serving food that day.Instead their solution was to allow the party to get a caspien pizza and eat it in the restaurant.I asked why I wasn’t informed earlier to be told they changed the table to no food just drinks and I should have been notified of this change. I Was Not NOTIFIED!!Too me this seems like a money making scam from a absolute terrible company to get 21 men threw the door to buy their beer and then tell them they can’t have food so at least we have put money into their till.It’s happened to too many people to let it slide.Boycott this terrible place!!!!

We booked a table for a pre wedding meal for 21 people, many of whom travelled from Essex, weeks in advance, only to be told on the night that there was no kitchen. Appalling customer service.

Nice pub but all of our food was burnt. We would of complained and sent it back but we was in a rush to pick up our daughter. 3 meals burnt to a crisp even the burger baps. How could a chef let that leave their kitchen?

Nice food. First chilli was not very warm.but as soon as I mentioned it a fresh, hot one was brought. Nice atmosphere and friendly team

Outstanding atmosphere, exceptional beer, superb landlady who leads & manages her staff if it were her own family. Music creates a great energy. Pub food simple, tasty & good value. Will visit again. Staff friendly & pleasant. Will visit when back in Worcs. We'll done Gemma!

For a restaurant/bar that's Changed owners a fair few times over the past few decades it's always managed to maintain serving quality food and drink. Atmosphere is usually pretty good too with occasional live music 👌

Like many businesses currently suffering from staff shortages but they went out of their way to be courteous and keep us informed. Had a problem with my wife's meal, which was sorted out and deleted from our bill by the manageress without too much quibble. Nice enclosed garden by the canal lock.

Lovely Bar and much bigger than it looks from the outside. A Beautiful little terrace at the back overlooking the canal and lock with a covered courtyard. The girl behind the bar was friendly and attentive and took the time to have a conversation with us.

Great beer garden next to the canal and adjacent to The Commandery.Choice of Lagers, including Peroni and Estrella. It has Thatchers on draft and old moat cider in bottles.Ales were Wainwright Golden and Hobgoblin Ruby.Friendly staff who work hard.Looks nice and clean inside too.Well worth a visit when in Worcester.
