Lovely food. Lovely staff. Lovely location. Very family friendly. Fantastic natural children's playground right outside.

Lovely cafe catering for adults, kids and dogs (biscuits and ice-cream for the pooch? No problem!). Plenty of space, big outside picnic tables next to the play area so families can get refreshments and keep and eye on younger members while they play. The range of food and drink is great - at the quality end of the cafe experience.

I agree with Kat below . I cant tell you how disappointed we were 😥The cafe looks great and we were greeted by a lovely waitress. We wanted to watch the birds and the waitress moved us and cleaned the table nicely . We waited over 45 - 50 minutes for our food which was bad enough. The nice waitress did come and tell us after half an hour they had had a big takeaway order in so there would be a delay, did we want any more drinks , we declined as it would have meant spending £30 on lunch with 4 coffees . . The food was presented nicely but it was cold - there is no excuse for cold baked beans when they are served in a dish , cold toast , cold plate . My husbands tomato cold and not cooked .Unfortunately as I spoke to the couple next to us to ask their experience my husband paid .. he wasn't asked if everything was okay otherwise he would have said not . I certainly would have voiced my disappointment! The couple next to us waited an hour for 2 pizzas. They were asked if they liked cake while they waited 😳 They were given a free pizza and coffee as an apology .Certainly won't be rushing back which is a shame as the ambiance was lovely .

There's a spacious, covered terrace outside and you can order via a hatch outside if you prefer not to sit inside. The coffee is good and service is pretty quick. The views are of green fields and an enclosed, but visible, children's play area. There's a car park adjacent too.

Oh dear! What has happened to this place!!!!??? It's gone from family friendly, cosy woodland cafe to pretentious, bawdy, Ill-conceived disaster...The entrance is laughable...red twisted rope on posts as if going into The Ritz. Thedecor is totally out of keeping with the setting and the 'restaurant style' approach where you wait to be seated is ludicrous!Sat us in a booth that only one person could sit comfortably in, staff so busy sweeping the floor that our order wasn't taken and then served watery, tasteless Hot Chocolate. On the upside, the GF Millionaires Shortbread was delicious and you can still enjoy the birds through the window.Waited ages to ask for our bill... all completely ridiculous for a cafe where people want to grab a drink n some cake after a good walk and then be able to leave when it suits.WE WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN... so sad after years of fond memories...

It was outside seating and service only today due to COVID restrictions. The food and drinks were perfect and the service with a smile was appreciated. I'm glad I stopped here for refreshments during my travels.

Love this cafe. We visit often and the service is always great, the food is locally sourced and is delicious. Indoors or takeaway you know you're going to get good food. The cake is a favourite of my daughters and never disappoints! Clean outdoor toilets and changing facilities. Great walks in the woods and recently refurbished play area is a hit too.

Great food in a wonderful place. Staff are friendly and helpful.... and as an unbelievable bonus, there were hot water bottles they happily filled for us to keep us snug and warm while we ate. Perfect.

Really cute decor with bird feeders right by the window so you can watch the birds coming and going. Food was less memorable but good. Very cool children's play area outside, one for younger kids and one for older kids (and big kids who never grew up! Going on the swings was fun)

Beautiful window seat watching the birds and squirrels. I had the teriyaki rice bowl, super yummy and a couple of pots of decaf tea. A wonderful hour or so reading my book and indulging in time just for me ❤️
