Castle Hotel in Wychavon

Recently went for birthday meal staff friendly polite and helpful. Meals were very good and reasonably priced. Didn't have to wait too long to be served. Only criticism would be the toilets need looking at and would benefit from improvement. Overall was a nice family meal we will be going back.

I have always enjoyed meals at The Castle however on this occasion we felt the Sunday Roast was poor. The roast potatoes were soggy as was the Yorkshire pudding. The veg was overcooked but the gravy was nice. We were also somewhat disappointed with the table service, our desserts were served whilst our plates were still on the table where they remained until after we left despite a staff member taking regular walks past our table to deliver other food.Overall disappointed..

Poor customer service and poor staffOrdered a draft pint of coke. Got to my table to find the drink was completely flat. Went back to politely inform the bar staff and request either a fresh drink or a replacement but was told that they are unable to offer me a different drink. Disgraceful customer service. I thought the customer was always right? I guess not

The waiting and bar staff are brilliant here,helpful,cheerful,friendly,great customer focus. Food is good value for money,but the Chef needs a poke,as my husbands chicken on his burger was basically just thawed out,still ice cold, and the millionaires sauce was missing.however the complaint was dealt with kindly and quickly. There's a lovely, happy atmosphere here.

Visited today and as it is bank holiday was very busy. We did have an issue with meals being lukewarm but as soon as we spoke to Kate she ordered us fresh meals that were lovely and hot when they arrived. Kate and the other staff were all very polite, professional and friendly they are an asset to your company

Brought my family for lunch this afternoon. After a very long wait the adults food was mediocre and luke warm. The food for my 1 year old was inedible. The chicken was like rubber. It was obviously frozen and had been microwaved. The mash was from powder and the sweetcorn looked terrible. I would rather have paid more for something quality and fresh. We took this back and got a refund because I didn't want to feed it to my baby. Also the person serving just took the plate and walked away without saying anything which was a bit rude. We had to follow them to the bar to say that we wanted a refund instead of more food. We won't be visiting again.

Only two stars. We've not been to the Castle for years. England was playing, so I guess that takes precedence. It would have been one star but at least the waitress warned us there was an hours delay at least. We had a very nice meal at the Hungry Horse.

We had a bday meal booked and it was lovely, staff were very kind, Katie looked after the cake and made sure our seating area was decorated with the balloons. Thank you to all the staff for a nice evening. We will definitely book again.

This was a casual pub find but ended up having lots of vegan options. I had this vegan mushroom pie with mashed potatoes and gravy, very nice! It didn’t have too many reservations so we were able to walk right in. Ordering is at the table to very efficient.

Brilliant service. They stick to Covid rules. Place is tidy, really higher standard for Greene King pub. Both of us had Challenges(Big Mexican and Chicken challenge) and we really struggled. Burgers massive, nice nachos and Chicken well tasty. Very happy to visit again
